Mark your calendars! Chief of War Episode 7, titled Day of Spilled Brains, will release on September 5, 2025, exclusively on Apple TV+.
Previously, after Kohala's food storage huts were burned down by Keoua's men, Kamehameha, upon Kupouhi and Ka'ahumanu's request, agreed to negotiate peace with his cousin Keoua. Kupouhi volunteered to talk to Keoua, and Ka'iana accompanied her. Turns out, Kupouhi is Keoua's cousin and a former Chieftess of Hawaii. But the negotiations do not go as planned.
Keoua remains rigid about his decision: he chooses war/violence over peace. The tense standoff between Ka'iana and Keoua is a highlight of the episode. Meanwhile, as Kamehameha introduces a law for the welfare of the Hawaiian people, Keoua seeks Kahekili's help to win the battle. The difference is clear, while one works for the Hawaiian Islands, the other is blinded by personal vengeance. Chief of War Episode 7 will thus follow the aftermath of these events. Here's what the synopsis says:
"A disrupment erupts on how to deal with the arrival of the outsiders."

Chief of War Episode 6 recap: The Splintered Paddle

A lot happened in Episode 6 of Chief of War. From Keoau's risky gamble for power to Kamehameha's introduction of a new law, the episode was packed with tense moments.
After Kamehameha agreed with Kupouhi and Ka'ahumanu's notion of peace and unity, Ka'iana and Kupouhi set out to meet Keoua. Ka'iana thought that the danger was too close to the shores, and war seemed inevitable, and most importantly, Keoua wasn't seeking peace. When Keoua turned down his cousin Kupouhi's offers, he instigated Ka'iana, who aimed his gun at him.
Elsewhere, King Kahekili's brutalities made several chiefs question his leadership, and many wanted his son Kupule to take over. The chiefs who showed resistance were tortured and tied to wooden logs. Even though his son Kupule was aware of his father's wrongdoings, he was not ready to take a stand against him. He followed his father's orders and even stabbed one of the punished chiefs.
Meanwhile, after the failed negotiations, Kamehameha declared a new law for Hawai'i's people: the Law of the Paddle or The Splintered Paddle. The law aims to protect the people of the island, no matter their social standings. Kamehameha also declared that this law applies to Keoua as well.
Keoua, on the other hand, betrayed his cousin Kamehameha and sought help from King Kahekili. When Kahekili asked what he would get in return for his help, Keoua promised peaceful co-existence. Will King Kahekili help Keoua? Or is he harboring a sinister plan in his mind to overthrow Keoua and take Hawaii?
What to expect from Chief of War Episode 7?
