1. Sabrina Spellman, played by Kiernan Shipka
Kiernan Shipka plays Sabrina, the brave, curious girl trying to merge high school life with her witch training. Sabrina must make tough choices between doing the right thing and following magic’s darker paths.
Outside the series, Shipka started on Mad Men as Sally Draper and voiced Jinora in The Legend of Korra. More recently, she appeared in films like Twisters (2024), Longlegs (2024), and Sweethearts (2024).
2. Hilda Spellman, played by Lucy Davis
Hilda is a warm, gentle, and kind aunt of Sabrina, who gives the girl a sense of home and room to be warm and cozy with her. She puts magic against emotion and is often the emotional support for Sabrina.
Lucy Davis also played Dawn in The Office (UK), Etta Candy in Wonder Woman (2017), and stars on The Villains of Valley View as a supervillain named Surge on the Disney Channel.
3. Zelda Spellman, played by Miranda Otto
Zelda is Sabrina’s stern and disciplined aunt, who deeply believes in the rules of their witch community but also quietly cares for Sabrina’s future. Miranda Otto portrays her with a calm strength, making Zelda both protective and formidable. Outside the witchy world, Otto is an acclaimed Australian actor best known for playing Éowyn in The Lord of the Rings films.
Her role required sword fighting, riding, and emotional depth, and she recently returned as Éowyn’s voice and narrator in the animated prequel The War of the Rohirrim.
4. Ambrose Spellman, played by Chance Perdomo
Ambrose is her clever and supportive warlock cousin. He uses humor, magic, and care to help her navigate witchcraft and family secrets.
Perdomo’s career began with CBBC’s Hetty Feather, followed by a BAFTA-nominated performance in Killed by My Debt in 2018. He also starred in the After film series, After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and After Everything, and appeared as Andre in Gen V before his passing in 2024.
5. Harvey Kinkle, played by Ross Lynch
Harvey, her boyfriend, is a close-to-normal teenager amid the magical mayhem. He is devoted, he is considerate, and he is more often than not bewildered by her secrets.
Austin Moon, as seen on Disney’s Austin & Ally, as the show brought Ross Lynch to young fans across the channel. Arnett also appeared in the Disney musical teen movie Teen Beach Movie. Later, he became infamous for taking a much more sinister role by playing young serial killers like Dahmer in his My Friend Dahmer, giving him a range beyond Disney.
6. Madam Satan/Mary Wardwell played by Michelle Gomez
Michelle Gomez stars as Sabrina’s teacher, Mary, who transforms into the enigmatic and wicked Madam Satan. She transitions from mentor to shadowy presence, threatening her life with suspense and danger. In addition to Mia, Gomez also appeared as Missy, the Master, in the TV series Doctor Who, which led to a BAFTA nomination.
She starred in British comedies like Green Wing, Bad Education, and The Book Group early in her career. More recently, she appeared in The Flight Attendant as assassin Miranda Croft and in Doom Patrol as Madame Rouge. She also participates in a Harry Potter audio series as Professor McGonagall, set to release November 4, 2025.
7. Rosalind “Roz” Walker, played by Jaz Sinclair
Roz is a good human friend of Sabrina, courageous, truthful, and extremely loyal. She does not hesitate to speak her mind and is not scared of speaking up for what Sabrina believes in. Jaz Sinclair appeared as Angela in Paper Towns (2015), Beatrice Bennett in The Vampire Diaries, and Chloe in Slender Man (2018).
She has also performed as the supporting actress in Gen V as Marie Moreau on Amazon, proving to be versatile in performing action roles. Other than acting, she also releases music under the name Jasimi, and in 2021, released her debut EP, Bought Myself Daisies 2021.
8. Susie Putnam/Theo Putnam played by Lachlan Watson
Susie (later Theo) is a kind, smart friend of Sabrina. They help her with both normal life problems and magical difficulties. Their journey reflects personal growth and the strength it takes to be yourself.
Lachlan Watson is best known for this role and also played the genderfluid twins Glen and Glenda in the TV series Chucky. They voiced the character Fang in the video game Goodbye Volcano High (2023). In 2024, they starred in the A24 film Y2K, showing their move into major film roles.
9. Prudence, Agatha & Dorcas (Weird Sisters), played by Tati, Adeline, and Abigail
These three witches are the fierce rulers of the Academy of the Unseen Arts, stirring conflict and testing her at every turn. Together, they add rivalry, power struggles, and dramatic tension to her world:
- Prudence (Tati Gabrielle): A cunning leader motivated by deep personal beliefs, wary of Sabrina’s hybrid nature and moral strength. Tati also appears as Gaia in The 100, Marienne in You, voices Willow Park in The Owl House, and stars in Uncharted and The Last of Us (2024).
- Agatha (Adeline Rudolph): Ambitious and twisted, she supports Prudent's ambitions and harbors intense loyalty to the coven’s dark traditions. Adeline went on to appear in Riverdale (2021) and the Netflix Resident Evil adaptation (2022) and is set to portray Kitana in Mortal Kombat 2.
- Dorcas (Abigail Cowen): The gentlest of the trio, Dorcas is conflicted, sometimes coerced into darkness, but shows hesitance and inner kindness. Abigail later starred as Bloom in Fate: The Winx Saga, appeared in I Still Believe and Witch Hunt, and will lead in The Ritual (2025).
10. Father Blackwood, played by Richard Coyle
Father Blackwood is the powerful high priest of the Church of Night and dean of the witch school in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. He’s ruthless and ambitious and clashes strongly with Sabrina as he enforces dark traditions across Greendale.
Outside the series, Richard Coyle is known for his role as Jeff in Coupling and for playing Aberforth Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.

The central cast of the story provides clear and defined characters that relate to youth, family, and authority with a supernatural expression of dark colors.
