From 2009 until 2015, the American comedy Parks and Recreation ran on NBC. In 2020, it had a reunion special. The series starred Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, a positive parks department administrator in the made-up town of Pawnee, Indiana.

The show blends workplace humor and political criticism in a mockumentary fashion. With an ensemble cast that included Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, and Rashida Jones, it went from receiving mixed reviews in its first season to receiving praise from critics in later years.

Chris Pratt recently discussed where Andy Dwyer might be now if Parks and Recreation returned. In an appearance with Access Hollywood, he quipped that Andy would be living in Eagleton as a "yuppie" and doing well as a children's entertainer. Pratt said that he'd be "game" for a revival.

More about Chris Pratt and Parks and Recreation reboot

Chris Pratt is known for playing Andy Dwyer on the popular NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation. Recently, he has stated that he would be very interested in returning to the cherished program.

"A reboot? Of course, I’d be game. That was one of the most special seasons of my life, all seven seasons of the show, but that entire era for me, it was so much fun. I love it so much."

Thanks to streaming services that make the episodes available, the original series has a devoted following. This has happened, though it stopped in 2015. A reboot has not yet been formally announced. However, Pratt recently revealed his creative ideas for the potential future of his character Andy in a future season or series.

For seven amazing seasons, Parks and Recreation captivated viewers, and this was done with its unique blend of heart, comedy, and quirky small-town politics. Fans were left wanting more, however, the performers' brief reunion in 2020 for a special virtual episode during the pandemic was enthusiastically appreciated.

Pratt considers his tenure on the show to be among his most memorable. He is curious to see how the program's producers will continue to shape the characters.

"I’d be so curious to see what Mike Schur and Greg Daniels, and Amy Poehler would have imagined where Andy Dwyer may have gone."

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Pratt offered an odd but intriguing suggestion regarding Andy Dwyer's future:

"I think he moved to Eagleton and became a yuppie. I think that’d be really funny to explore."

He went on to say that he thought Andy Dwyer would have turned into a yuppie and kept performing for the kids on Johnny Karate's Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show.

Pratt also quipped that it would be amusing to watch the character "turn heel" in a revival, adding that Andy could have gotten a little carried away with his celebrity.

This is a humorous change from Andy's former persona. It was characterized by his carefree demeanor and charming silliness. The concept shows Andy leading a more sophisticated existence. This fuses his quirky charm with a more upscale environment.

According to Pratt, Andy, who is most known for playing the kid-friendly character Johnny Karate, could have seen some success that prompted this change. As spectators saw Andy adjust to a completely different lifestyle from what they were used to, this inventive twist would provide him a fresh narrative full of comedic possibilities.

"Well, he’s now Johnny Karate’s Super Awesome Musical Explosion Show. He’s a children’s performer. So he probably got a little high on the hog being a children’s performer, and it’d be great to kind of see him turn heel. I think that’d be pretty funny."

Pratt's career took off after Parks and Recreation. With significant roles in popular blockbusters like the Jurassic World trilogy and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, he has made a name for himself as one of Hollywood's top actors.

Since Andy's persona was so unexpected and humorous throughout the series, fans would undoubtedly be thrilled to discover this new side of him, and the complete idea of placing him in a wealthy neighborhood opens up a world of imaginative possibilities.
