Code of Silence Episode 3 aired on Monday, July 22, 2024, and picked up with Alison being shown a suspect photo by Ashleigh and Ben. After Liam apologized at the pub, Alison secretly followed him and Braden to a construction site, where she used a speech-to-text app to catch a conversation about a heist. Back at the station, the team decoded the audio.

Later, Liam invited Alison over, and she noticed the floor plans in his flat. Meanwhile, Alison’s mum received an eviction notice, and the gang met at an ice rink. Alison identified a new woman, Chandra Bakshi, linked to Amir Joshi.

In Code of Silence Episode 3, Alison ignores Ashleigh’s warning and follows Liam and Braden to the Pilgrim Lane site.

After lip-reading, Braden mentions the location, Alison lies to her boss and leaves her shift early to trail them on her bike. She sneaks into a nearby office building on the site and uses a speech-to-text app to pick up a conversation between Helen, Joseph, Braden, and Liam. They discuss the building’s security and mention an insider.

Alison’s phone drops mid-recording when Ashleigh calls, almost getting her caught. Liam investigates the noise but doesn’t spot her. Later, at the police station, she shows the team what she recorded. They attempt to decode distorted audio from the app, picking out talk about a meeting they need to locate. Alison’s risk pays off, even though Ashleigh is visibly worried about how far she’s going.

The detectives now have new information to work with and suspect the meeting involves planning a robbery. The Pilgrim Lane site appears to be central to whatever the gang is preparing, and Alison’s access gives the police their first clear lead outside the pub. James thanks her, but Ashleigh tells him she’s worried Alison is in deeper than she should be.

In Code of Silence Episode 3, the gang’s ice rink meetup introduces Chandra Bakshi, linked to billionaire Amir Joshi.

After Alison spots a message on Liam’s phone about the ice rink, she informs Ashleigh, who confirms it’s a smart spot for avoiding surveillance. Alison is then brought to the station to watch through security cameras as Braden, Liam, Helen, and Joseph arrive. A woman joins them—someone the police don’t recognize. Joseph tells the group her name is Sandra, and her surname ends in “shi.”

Alison lip-reads Helen, complimenting the woman’s experience and accuracy. Liam stresses that the package needs to be precise, down to the gram. After the meeting, the police identify the woman as Chandra Bakshi, an associate of Amir Joshi, one of India’s wealthiest men. They find out Joshi is in the UK and preparing to auction off some of his jewels. James requests a full profile on him and his vault.

The team believes this is the new target. The meeting confirms there’s a larger operation unfolding and introduces a new player Alison hadn’t seen before. The surveillance footage, combined with Alison’s lip-reading, affirms that the gang is preparing for a high-stakes theft involving Joshi’s assets, and Chandra may be their key contact to make it happen.

In Code of Silence Episode 3, Braden receives a bag containing firearms, and Alison witnesses the exchange.

At The Canterbury Tap, a man drops off a bag for Braden. Later that evening, Alison spots Braden handing the bag to the pub owner. She lip-reads her boss saying “guns in my pub” and warning that he has kids. Braden responds by reminding him to think about those kids.

Alison meets with Ashleigh the next day and relays what she saw, but says she can’t be fully certain the word was “guns” because it’s difficult to lip-read. Still, Ashleigh tells her to stay away from the pub for a few days. Separately, Braden retrieves the guns from Liam’s flat, confirming they were never left at the pub. Liam is visibly shaken, insisting Helen told him there would be no weapons involved. Braden pins him to the wall and threatens him, making it clear he doesn’t trust him.

The guns, their location, and Braden’s aggressive behavior point to the seriousness of the planned crime. Alison's observation links the weapons directly to the gang’s operations, and her boss’s reaction shows that even those not fully involved are getting scared. The incident adds pressure on the police to act soon before things escalate further.

In Code of Silence Episode 3, Alison finds out that Joseph is the CFO of the company, trying to evict her mother.

Alison’s mother receives an official eviction notice from Hollis & Byrne. When Eithan visits to explain the notice, he tells Alison the company’s contract has expired and they’re pushing tenants out for redevelopment. Eithan gives her a list of company directors. Later, Alison recognizes one of the names, Joseph, as the Chief Financial Officer.

She takes the information to James at the station. James confirms that Joseph has a history of moving between companies, getting them into debt, and walking away. Alison says the police already know he’s part of the gang and that this eviction shows how involved he really is. James warns that Joseph keeps himself clean legally.

He also reveals more about a past robbery involving Braden, where a man was shot and only one gang member, Alfie Redman, was caught. James believes Joseph was part of that group. The eviction notice becomes more than just a side plot; it links the gang’s operations to legitimate business fronts.

In Code of Silence Episode 3, Alison is now directly affected by Joseph’s actions, both as a resident and as someone helping investigate him. The discovery shows the gang’s reach extends well beyond the pub and into real estate, with financial manipulation at the center.
