"Completely broken my heart": Love Is Blind star Madison talks to Joe about his decision to break up with her

Love Is Blind Season 9 Episode 11 was released on October 15, 2025. The episode titled, Don't Go Breaking My Heart featured Joe breaking up with Madison.

It happened when Joe was at the wedding outfit trial. After he felt overwhelmed, he left the trial. Soon, Madison and Joe had a chat about it, and he revealed that he couldn't continue with the experiment.

The two talked about it, after which Madison got emotional. She questioned Joe about his decision to break up. However, he responded that he didn't have any answers.

"I feel like I'm, like, dying inside right now. You have completely broken my heart," shared Madison.

Love Is Blind Season 9: Madison questions Joe regarding his decision to break up with her and leave the experiment

Love Is Blind Season 9 Episode 11 featured Madison talking on the phone with her mom. She told her that Joe had left. Soon, Joe arrived.

In her private confessional, Madison opened up and shared what Joe had told her:

"Joe said that after his tux fitting, like, he had a total breakdown. He felt completely detached. He was like, I just...you're not my person. And he said...He said that if we go to the altar, he's gonna say no."

While talking to Joe, she asked him why he let her go to the wedding dress trial. She asked him why he didn't talk to her and tell her how he felt. Joe responded that he had a rough time at the fitting. He noted that it was the breaking point for him.

Love Is Blind star Joe told her that he wanted to follow and keep going as long as he could. Then he knew that he couldn't continue. She asked Joe what was missing. He told her that he didn't have any answers.

"I feel like I'm, like, dying inside right now. You have completely broken my heart," said Madison.

Listening to her, Joe apologized. He added that it was not what he wanted. Love Is Blind star Madison then told Joe that she should take her engagement ring off. While she cried, Joe was sitting beside her. She told him that he didn't care.

"I'm just sitting here, like, dying inside, and you're just sitting there watching it. You're not even, like..." she said.

She then removed her engagement ring and put it in the box. She told Joe that they should start packing their stuff.

Later in his private confessional, Joe shared that he felt relieved:

"I feel relieved. Like a weight is off my shoulders. I truly entered this experiment looking for love. That is what I wanted, and it makes me sad that it didn't work out. But it got a lot harder to picture a wedding, having kids, families. I would have been miserable."

Love Is Blind star added that he wanted to have a good life with somebody that he wanted to be with every day. He told the cameras that Madison wasn't it. While Joe packed his stuff, Madison confessed that she could barely breathe. She mentioned that it was more than "just a breakup." It was the end of an engagement.

"This is ending a life that we were starting together," confessed Madison.

When Joe was about to leave, he came to see her. Madison told him that she was thankful that she went through the experiment with him. She thanked him for being her journey in the experiment. The two embraced each other, and Joe left.

While crying, Madison told him that he would always have a place in her heart. After Joe left the apartment, Madison broke down and couldn't stop crying.
