Prime Video’s Confidence Queen Episode 2 picks up right where the first episode left off. Tae-soo doubts Gu-ho and confronts him, trying to find out his true identity based on the tattoo he saw in the viral video.
However, the issue gets resolved quickly when Gu-ho shows him his other shoulder. He then threatens Yi-rang and Gu-ho, forcing them to smuggle things for him, just like they smuggled the money. While giving them a new task, he also instructs his men to keep watch on them.
However, Jeon Tae-soo still falls under Yi-rang’s careful planning and loses a lot of money. While Yi-rang and Gu-ho risk their lives several times, the episode still manages to entertain viewers with perfect comedic timing. Here’s what happened in Confidence Queen Episode 2.

Confidence Queen Episode 2 recap: Jeon Tae-soo tasks Yi-rang and Gu-ho to smuggle drugs
After confirming Gu-ho’s identity as the illegitimate son of Rising Airlines’ owner in Episode 2 of Confidence Queen, Tae-soo assigns the duo a task. He asks them to secretly smuggle his suitcases to the Philippines without revealing what’s inside.
When they arrive in the Philippines, they are kidnapped by Mr. Mule, who was beaten up by Tae-soo in Episode 1. He then reveals that he was planning to report them to the police, but now he wants them to help him deliver the drugs to the narcotics bureau and report Tae-soo.
He even threatens to cut Gu-ho’s finger if Yi-rang refuses. However, Yi-rang soon realizes that this was a supposed test by Tae-soo to see if they are trustworthy. She then asks Mr. Mule to cut Gu-ho’s ring finger instead of his middle finger so his hand doesn't become useless.
A shocked Mr. Mule then proceeds to cut Gu-ho’s ring finger, who has no idea of what has been happening around him. Just in time, Tae-soo appears and saves Gu-ho.
Confidence Queen Episode 2 recap: Yi-rang plots a good plan to smuggle Tae-soo's money
In Episode 2 of Confidence Queen, Jeon Tae-soo finds himself in a more difficult situation when he is informed that the tax office is closing in on his business and money. To evade the problem, he has to hide 50 billion Won. In a desperate move, he asks Yi-rang and Gu-ho to transfer the money overseas.With her quick wit and unique perspective, Yi-rang dismantles the previous plan of transporting the money in suitcases. Using a sniffer dog, she gets Gu-ho arrested at the airport.
Gu-ho later returns and informs them that his father pulled some strings to save him from the police. Yi-rang then suggests that Tae-soo use his Sand Foundation as a decoy and organize a large relief campaign through which they can transfer the 50 billion won overseas.
Confidence Queen Episode 2 recap: Tae-soo catches on to the lies of the team
As Yi-rang planned, the campaign and the transfer of Tae-soo’s slush funds began, and they boarded the private jet. However, during the flight, Tae-soo learns that Gu-ho has been posing as a murdered Korean tourist in the Philippines.
In an attempt to punish them, he tries to end their lives before being stopped by severe turbulence. The turbulence continues, and the pilot announces that they must throw some items out of the aircraft to save everyone on board.
Yi-rang then begins to throw out all of the cases that contained Tae-soo’s money. Later, Yi-rang asks Gu-ho to take the parachute and go down to collect the money. However, Tae-soo refuses to let him do that, and after his men refuse to risk their lives, he straps on the parachute and jumps from the plane. While James is revealed to be the first officer of the flight, Tae-soo discovers that the cases do not contain any money.
In the end, Yi-rang reveals to Gu-ho that half of her story about targeting Tae-soo was true, but the other half, about beating up James, was just a ploy to get him back on the team. With their ultimate plan, Team Confidence Man takes down Tae-soo, who is then arrested for fraud and child abuse.
The ending of Confidence Queen Episode 2 also reveals that this is all part of Yi-rang's long-standing revenge plan.
