Could Chris find love in Emilia Harcourt from the other universe in Peacemaker Season 2? Speculations explored

Nothing seems to be going in Chris’s favour in Peacemaker Season 2. In the last season, his life was somewhat sorted after the success of the mission.

However, his life seems to have taken a negative turn in this season. In the second episode, we see that Chris is having a party with Adebayo, Economos, and Emilia for Economos’s homecoming. At the party, Chris tries to talk to Emilia about a fight and her actions. This leads them to have a quarrel, which ultimately ruins any chance of progress in Harcourt and Chris's relationship.

Well, after Chris’s actions in Peacemaker Season 2, the chances of Chris finding love in Emilia from the other universe definitely seem plausible. Chris is absolutely head over heels for Emilia Harcourt from his own universe. However, their relationship does not seem to pick up any pace.

After the incidents of the first season, their relationship seems not to have progressed at all. In the second episode of Peacemaker Season 2, after Emilia leaves the conversation after Chris indicates that she might be looking for fights, Chris gets drunk.

In his drunken stupor, he reaches for the phone of Chris from the other universe, whom he had killed. He goes through the contact list on the other Chris’ phone and finds Emilia Harcourt’s contact number.

Now, it was previously shown that Chris from the other universe had a relationship with Emilia Harcourt. Hence, Chris tries to text Emilia using the phone. He then goes to the other universe, now that he has easy access to the place. He notices that Emilia from the other universe replies to his message with a broken heart emoji.

It triggers an instinct in Chris’s mind, after which he sits down with the phone and seems to continue texting her. It cannot be denied that Chris seeks validation and is insecure about himself. This can be seen throughout the series and is pronounced in Peacemaker Season 2 when he tries to join the Justice Gang to become a true hero.

Hence, when he begins messaging Emilia Harcourt from the other universe, it is a desperate move that is fueled by his hurt and rejection he faced. If his feelings are reciprocated by Emilia from the other universe, then there is definitely a possibility of him finding love in the other universe. He knows that he can pretend to be Chris from the other universe and use it to his advantage.

How Chris will handle this new aspect will definitely be an intriguing thing to see in Peacemaker Season 2. It will undoubtedly focus on Chris’s personal growth. He killed Chris from the other universe with his own hands.

There is undoubtedly a possibility that he will grapple with the emotional weight of his actions. If he chooses to pretend to be the Chris from the other universe and reconcile with Emilia from the other universe, it will definitely be a driving force of the storyline.
