Ortega, as mentioned, expressed how it has been "a lot" for her to deal with so much "attention" after her show gained some popularity. She further added that initially she was in a confusing and intimidating state, but she has got better, and the interview is proof of it.

"I don't think anybody should be ready, or you know, jumping at that. So I think I was just mentally at a very difficult, confusing and intimidating time. So it's nice to be in a different position now where I am speaking to you. Where I feel a bit more accustomed to 'I don't pay that much attention to it, or let it affect me to an extent it once did."

She also recalled how her life was earlier, and it was only lately that things have started changing. As a child, she always carried this feeling of doing several things and being unable to do anything under pressure.

"I am less scared. You can't really go about life feeling like this all he time. I didn't have a strong sense of self. A lot of my life was my work, school and sleeping, when I could. And I don't know, I always felt an external pressure to be a certain way and fit into a certain box. I am not exploring this or that as a young person. It's only been in recent years that I have woken up."

At last, she smiled and said that she might have shaken her up sooner, and this role has helped her a lot. She is happy that several other young people can find their identity in Wednesday.

"I think everybody should go through a gothic or punk phase, or whatever it may be. So it's nice to be able to give that experience to young girls or anyone."

Wednesday season 2 premiered on August 6, 2025 and has been renewed for a new season 3.
