After Outlander: Blood of My Blood's time-traveling twist, is a reunion on the cards for Claire in Outlander Season 8?

The prequel series' premiere followed Jamie's parents in 18th-century Scotland, but we saw surprising glimpses of Claire's parents too. While Julia was working as a maidservant for Jamie's grandfather, Lord Lovat, Henry attended the MacKenzie Gathering as Clan Grant's bladier.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood Episode 2 jumps forward in time and follows Claire's parents during WWI. After quickly falling in love, marrying, and having a daughter, the couple is seen taking a trip when their car crashes. This 'fatal' car crash brought Claire's parents to the iconic stones of Craigh Na Dun. While Julia time-traveled to the past first, her husband soon followed, but destiny had other plans.

In Outlander, Claire believed that her parents died in a car crash, following which she was raised by her Uncle Lamb. While she is unaware of her parents' actual fate, Outlander: Blood of My Blood also revealed that Claire might have had a sibling in the 18th century.

In addition to her daughter Faith, will Claire also learn the truth about her parents and sibling? The prequel premiere certainly opened a sea of possibilities for Outlander's eighth and final season.

Here are all the possibilities explored.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood: Can Julia's time travel affect Claire's ending in Season 8?

While the Outlander: Blood of My Blood trailer suggested that Claire's parents would also be fellow time travelers like their daughter, the events behind their adventure were revealed in the prequel's premiere.

However, Outlander: Blood of My Blood featured another mystery that might affect Claire's story in Outlander Season 8. The Season 7 finale of the parent series saw Claire uncover a big mystery about Fanny's mother and the possibility that Faith, her stillborn daughter, might have somehow survived.

While Jamie and Claire had tearfully bid goodbye to their daughter in Outlander, the Season 7 finale changed everything for them. The final season will likely see them searching for answers about Fanny's past and uncovering the truth about Faith's death.

However, the Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiere suggested that Claire was separated from more than just her parents and Faith. Moments before their car crash, Julia and Henry contemplated how to break their pregnancy news to Claire, suggesting that Claire has an unborn sibling in the premiere's universe. While we do not know what became of Julia and Henry in the 18th century or if their second child even came into this world, it is clear that the couple did not make it back to their own time.

If Julia's child managed to survive, there are high chances that he/she is still alive in 1770, ie, the setting for Outlander Season 8. This time travel twist could very well materialize for Claire in the final season of the flagship series, and she might even cross paths with her long-lost sibling, who can even be an already existing character.

The possibilities are endless, and the shocking reveal that Claire's parents did not die in a car crash (but she tragically believed this all her life) could alter her fate in Outlander's final season. A reunion with her long-lost sibling will not only be emotional, but she will finally learn the truth that her parents were also fellow time travelers and probably crossed paths with many known characters in the 18th century.

Jamie and Claire's story will conclude in Season 8, which will premiere in early 2026, and Outlander: Blood of My Blood will continue to expand their parents' tale in new episodes every Friday.
