Amazon Prime Video's upcoming crime drama series, Countdown, is all set to release on June 25, 2025. The first three episodes, titled Teeth in the Bone, Dead Lots of Times, and Happy Birthday Final, will drop on the premiere day at 3 am ET/midnight PT, while the remaining episodes of the series will follow a weekly release schedule.

Created, written, and executive produced by Derek Hass, it has a total of 13 episodes, and the finale is scheduled to release after approximately ten weeks from now, i.e., on September 3, 2025.

Amazon Prime Video's latest crime drama series, Countdown, starring Jensen Ackles and Jessica Camacho, follows LAPD detective/officer Mark Meachum, who is pulled into a deadly investigation after a DHS agent is killed in broad daylight. As he joins a task force for tracking the killer, they uncover a larger conspiracy that could put millions at risk. Meachum and his team race against the clock to stop a Chernobyl- or 9/11-level event that could destroy Los Angeles in seconds.

The synopsis for the show, as per Amazon Prime Video, reads,

"When an officer with the Department of Homeland Security is murdered in broad daylight, LAPD detective Mark Meachum is recruited to a secret task force, alongside undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, kicking off a race against time to save a city of millions."

The trailer is packed with non-stop action—bombs ticking down, bullets flying, helicopters soaring, and cars racing through intense scenes. It promises to be thrilling and full of edge-of-your-seat moments.
