Here's everything that happened in Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 3.
Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 3, "It's Time To Say Goodbye"
The team, particularly Agent JJ Miller, is going through an extremely dark chapter after her husband, William, died due to a medical complication. JJ is forced to handle her grief along with being there for her two young boys. But fortunately, her BUA family, even the ones who aren't a part of the family anymore, are there to surround her with light and love. Spencer Reid makes a bittersweet comeback on Criminal Minds: Evolution for JJ. Reid may have left the BUA team behind, but the bonds he shared with them are lifelong, as is seen when he returns to support JJ in her time of need.
Did Voit really lose his memory in Criminal Minds: Evolution?

On the other side, Rossi is using every trick in the book to figure out if Voit's amnesia is actually medically true or just another attempt at fooling them. To his disappointment, every brain scan and test proves that Voit's amnesia is real, and he has indeed forgotten everything about his past. Rossi is forced to spend some time with Voit, as his presence is triggering some recognition in Voit about their shared past. These recognitions are small and meaningless, forcing the team to take an even more drastic step to trigger Voit's memories.
Only one of Voit's victims has ever lived to tell the tale of his psychopathy in Criminal Minds: Evolution, and the team decides to get Ramona's help to try and trigger stronger memories for Voit. Voit captured Ramona and forced her to act as his wife, to whom he was planning to reveal his secrets. Luckily for Ramona, the team found and saved her before she suffered the tragic fate of Voit's other victims. Ramona had decided not to talk about her experiences with Voit, so the team knew that convincing her to help them would be very difficult.

When the team approaches Ramona, she initially refuses to help them by facing Voit, but after some convincing from them, she decides to face her past and Voit, and try to heal from it. Ramona's presence in a monitored conversation triggers some memories for Voit in the Criminal Minds: Evolution episode. As he had been vulnerable to Ramona about his family when using her as a double to practice, her presence reminded him of his wife and kids.
However, the memories that flooded in for Voit also brought the realization that his family had chosen not to visit him in the hospital. This realization, paired with witnessing the security measures used against him, was too much for Voit and completely broke down after his conversation with Ramona. As Voit is still unaware of his depraved past and his actions, he is emotionally devastated at his reality, forcing Rossi to comfort him in a small capacity.
William LaMontagne's emotional funeral ceremony

As heavy, human, and tense, Voit's meeting with Ramona was, it was nothing compared to what JJ was dealing with. She spent her time before her overbearing mother-in-law's arrival trying and failing to find William's gift for their younger child's birthday. When Connie does show up, everything is dialed up even more in Criminal Minds: Evolution when she finds out about Will's cancer scare through Michael. Blindsided by her shock and grief, she blames JJ for everything in an aggressive argument with her, unwilling to understand that it was William's decision not to disclose his false scare.
Rossi and Sandy convince Connie not to miss the emotional funeral ceremony, after which she realizes the error of her ways and apologizes to JJ. In a bittersweet ending to the Criminal Minds: Evolution episode, it is revealed that Henry had been holding on to Will's gift for Michael, a handwritten book on LaMontagne secrets that Will wanted to teach Michael. Henry promises to teach Michael everything that Will had taught him when he was young.
It is still uncertain what the future holds for the LaMontagne family, but whatever it is, they will always have their friends and their family to help them through it.
