Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7 might have just foreshadowed what lies ahead for Tara Lewis

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7 was the biggest cliffhanger that this season has thrown at us so far. Being stuck in dangerous situations is not a new thing for the BAU team; one might say it is part of their job description. However, luckily for fans, there haven't been any major deaths in the show, despite the team witnessing horrible cases and deaths every single day.

However, this might change after the explosive cliffhanger at the end of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7. The team has had close calls several times, but this call might end up being worse than anything before. Here's what happened.

Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7 puts Tara's life in the balance

Throughout the majority of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7, the BAU team works towards trying to figure out who had taken over Voit's network since his brain injury and memory loss. Even though Voit had made it extremely obvious that he did not have a right-hand man or second-in-command, the team was fairly in the dark when it came to having any idea regarding their identity.

It appears as if somebody is trying to prevent Voit from cooperating with the BAU investigation team and has even gone as far as leaving Tara for dead and killing Evan.

By the end of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7, however, the team seems to have saved some of the people who were kidnapped, but the new leader's identity is still out of their grasp. To make things worse, this mysterious leader is not afraid of directly getting to the team in order to get to Voit. They do so by killing Evan and shooting Tara as well.

Rebecca, Tara, and Evan get together to meet Voit's new lawyer, but before they can actually do so, they spot an unsub with a gun in the garage, and Tara barely pushes Rebecca out of the way before she and Evan both take bullets to their chests. Evan is killed instantly; however, Tara is not dead but unconscious, as we see Rebecca crawling towards her.

This could mean that Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7 is foreshadowing an extremely difficult future for Tara by the end of this season. The show is already shooting for Season 4, and it is confirmed that Aisha Taylor is reprising her role as Tara, so there is a very low chance that this altercation is going to prove deadly for her.

However, she still would've faced an extremely close call and will have an extremely long road to recovery waiting for her. More than this, this altercation also means that there might be a mole in the office, and the team has to get together and figure out who it is before anyone else has the same fate as Tara, but isn't as lucky.

By the end of Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Episode 7, the BAU team now has more than enough personal motivation to figure out who the new unsub is who has taken over Voit's network, after they harmed one of their own. It will be exciting to see how the next few episodes play out for the team, as the finale is only two episodes away.
