Culinary Class Wars Season 2 is finally here bringing a whole new lineup of the White Spoon and Black Spoon chefs. It's one of the most liked Korean cooking competitions, featuring 100 chefs from the country.

And just like Season 1 there are 80 Black Spoon Chefs and 18 White Spoon Chefs with 2 hidden chefs. Initially, the identity of the two special White Spoon chefs remained secret, but now it has been revealed that they are none other than Choi Kang-rok and Kim Do-yoon, who will compete from the Black Spoon group.

As for the judging panel, it remains the same with Paik Jong-won and Ahn Sung-jae from the previous season. Culinary Class Wars Season 2 arrived on December 16 and has a total of 13 episodes.

What's exciting about this new chapter is that it no longer follows the same rule. Earlier, the Black Spoon chefs were lesser-known and had to battle against the elite chefs. But in Season 2, the Black Spoon group also has chefs who are already highly accomplished.

This makes the battle even more engaging to watch, and the battle has just begun! So, explore the full release schedule to ensure you don't miss any episode.

After the chefs are introduced, the cooking battle begins. And two of the major twists in episodes 1-3 are the Black Spoon elimination round and the Hidden White Spoon twist.

Chef Shin Dong-min gets eliminated after judge Ahn Sung-jae views the concept he used as outdated rather than innovative. The elimination round gives a clear message to other chefs: past influence and name recognition offer no protection.

Season 2 also introduces a major rule change known as the "Hidden White Spoon" system. Through this twist, two popular chefs from Season 1: Choi Kang-rok and Kim Do-yun return to the show, but instead of being introduced as elite figures, they secretly compete as Black Spoons.

According to producer Kim Hak-min, their return was driven by strong viewer demand. Another producer, Kim Eun-ji, revealed that the secrecy surrounding their participation was so strict that even the chefs’ families didn’t know they were involved until the episodes aired.

During the elimination round, Kim Do-yun fails to advance, which once again reminds that fan support and popularity won't take you to the next round. Each chef is expected to prepare a dish that's not just tasty, but also innovative and has something meaningful about it.
