Good news for fans of Hulu's political thriller, Paradise! You won't have to wait long for the next season. The show's creator, Dan Fogelman, has revealed that work on Season 2 is about to start. This shuts down rumors that there might be a long break between seasons.

On March 5, a fan posted on X (which used to be Twitter) and asked:

"Please don’t wait two years to give us season 2 of Paradise @hulu."

Fogelman quickly responded,

The show's fanbase is happy because of the good news. They have been talking a lot about the March 4th ending of the show. Paradise is about Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, played by Sterling K. Brown, who tries to figure out who killed President Cal Bradford, played by James Marsden.

Hulu said they will make more of the show on February 20th because it did well. The first episode had 7 million people watch it, according to Variety.

Production timeline & Paradise Season 2 release window

Paradise is different from other big TV shows that keep fans waiting for years between seasons. In January 2025, Deadline reported that the show's creator, Fogelman, was already working on the scripts for Season 2.

Fogelman told Deadline that the scripts are finished and the show will go on the floors.

Fogelman talked about how he doesn't like it when there are long breaks between seasons of a show:

"We’re ready to go right now and hoping to get this show back on TV in a normal span of time—hopefully the same time as it came out this past year, as opposed to waiting multiple years."

Season 2 of the show is likely to release in the early part of 2026.

This schedule matches the creator, Dan Fogelman's plan for the story to span over three seasons. Each season would have eight episodes.

What to expect from Paradise Season 2?

The Season 1 finale of Paradise left viewers in shock. Now, Season 2 is going to take the story in some surprising directions. Fogelman talked to The Hollywood Reporter and said that Season 2 starts right after that big cliffhanger.

It follows Xavier Collins on a risky trip outside the bunker.

Fogelman explained:

"We’re going to live in both worlds. There’s a very exciting, emotional, big journey with Xavier, and then we will also be living in our downstairs world of the bunker. Forces will eventually collide."

Sterling K. Brown, Julianne Nicholson, who plays Sinatra, Sarah Shahi as Dr. Gabriela Torabi, Nicole Brydon Bloom as Jane, and Krys Marshall as Nicole Robinson are all set to return for Paradise Season 2.

James Marsden, known for his role as Cal Bradford, is expected to appear in flashbacks even though his character was killed.

Fogelman dropped clues that Season 2 will bring in fresh faces and broaden the scope, like how The Wire showcased different sides of Baltimore each season.

He said:

"The show was set up as a political thriller about solving a murder, and by the end of the first episode, you saw it was something else. Season 2 will do the same thing—it expands upon itself."
