Kamin insists that Jade step away due to a conflict of interest, but Jade firmly states that if his brother is guilty, he will personally see justice served. During interrogations, all seven students provided surface-level explanations like who bought the alcohol, who mixed the drinks, and how they found Puifai.

Soon, small cracks start to show when it's revealed that Puifai's best friend, Cherreen and her boyfriend Champ had argued that night, and now Puifai is gone. They explain why Tar and Bell chose to call the ambulance instead of the police.

Later, Tonkla says that Champ is deeply affected by Puifiai's death in episode 1 of Dare You to Death. He also mentions that Puifai had health issues like ulcers in her stomach, due to which she might have died.

Cherren also confirms this and the students try to save themselves. However, their statements looked suspicious and before Champ could be questioned, his influential father, who happens to be the MP, got him out of the station.
