Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 gets a promising update from Dario Scardapane

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has completed production! This positive update was confirmed officially by none other than showrunner Dario Scardapane himself. While this may look quick on the surface, it must be noted that filming for the season began in February 2025, even before the first season of Born Again started streaming on March 4, 2025.

Thus, it was only a matter of time before the filming for the second season concluded this month. But just because the filming is complete doesn't mean that we know what the upcoming season is about. As of now, all we know about Daredevil: Born Again season 2 is that it will follow the events of the season 1 finale, in which Mayor Wilson Fisk emerged victorious.

Dario Scardapane's confirmation of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 completion has fans hyped

Two days ago, on July 10, 2025, Dario Scardapane posted on his Instagram account an image of his action figure. Along with it, the showrunner of Born Again Season 1 confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has indeed completed its production. Along with this post, Scardapane included a caption that read:

"And that is a WRAP on Season 2 of Daredevil Born Again. Thank you to all who made this something truly special. Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Wilson Bethel, Matt Lillard, lili Taylor Krysten Ritter, Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Ayelet Zurer, Nikki M. James, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Gennaya Walton, Zabryna Guevara, Sana Amanat, Brad Winderbaum, Eleena Khamedoost, and of course Phil Silvera!"

Thanking the cast and crew of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, Dario Scardapane's caption continued:

"Extra thanks to Michael Shaw and the entire Art Department for the flattering (?) Bobblehead, Iain Macdonald, Justin Benson, Aaron Moorehead, Hilary Spera, Jeff Waldron, Kevin Feige, Lou D’Esposito, Slick Naim, Angela Barnes, Cedric Nairn-Smith, Melissa Lawson-Cheung, Stephanie Filo, David Chambers, Derek Wimble, Dylan Hopkins, Vincent Casciani, Chantelle Wells, Jesse Wigutow, Heather Bellson, Omar Najam, Gene and John O’Neil and the man behind the wheel. This means that we can expect some images from Born Again Season 2 to drop soon.

While the Born Again Season 1 footage was released just two months before its streaming, it is important to note that the show in its current form is a retooled version. Therefore, the cast and crew of season 1 were probably working even until late 2024. However, the filming for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 was seemingly smooth, as filming completed in approximately six months.

Therefore, some are expecting that we will learn more details regarding Born Again Season 2 at the D23 event next month, between August 29 and 31, 2025. For now, all we know about season 2 is that Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, is returning to the MCU through the upcoming season.

This was confirmed officially in May 2025, as Ritter said this at the Upfront stage after confirmation:

“It’s so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and ‘The Defenders’ and now joining the MCU. I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”

Now, all we have to do is wait till next year to see what Ritter's return looks like on the small screen.
