Daredevil: Born Again was initially announced as an 18-episode series, which was later divided into two seasons with nine and eight episodes. While the first season was wrapping up in March, production for the second season was already underway in New York.
However, now that the second season has wrapped up production and is one step closer to release, fans have been wondering about the future of the revival series after the second season.
While plans for a third season aren't officially greenlit yet, comments from Vincent D'Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, reveal a hopeful future for the revival series.
Vincent D'Onofrio's comments about the possibility of Daredevil: Born Again Season 3

The Daredevil: Dark Again cast is extremely excited for fans to witness the second season, especially owing to the cliffhanger of the first season. Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, had New York City under his thumb after declaring martial law. Matt Murdock's Daredevil intended to create an army of his own to combat Fisk's consolidation of New York.
Leaked set photos for Season 2 have revealed several cameos in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, along with a new suit for Charlie Cox's Daredevil. In a recent panel, talking about the leaked suit pictures, Cox referred to the second season as the final season, stirring up a lot of confusion among the show's fans.
However, Vincent D'Onofrio has been more than vocal about the show's future. When previously asked about plans for another season in May, D'Onofrio revealed that there were tentative plans for a third season, and it mostly depended on how the second season did with the audience. According to him, the fans' excitement with the second season would allow them to move forward with the plans for the third.
After Cox's comments had fans confused about the third season's future, D'Onofrio took to his official X account and smoothed over the confusion. He revealed that, as far as he knew, there was a good chance that the second season would not be the last we see of Kingpin and The Man Without Fear.
D'Onofrio's comments have been a hopeful reprieve for fans looking forward to a longer run from the series. A third season could have many possible directions for the show, and hopefully, the second season will have a positively exciting run, leading to a Season 3 renewal.
As for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, production has reportedly wrapped up and moved on to post-production. Season 2 is set for a tentative March 2026 release for now, but there's no confirmation until the season release is officially announced.
Daredevil is set to form his own army to fight against Kingpin's rule over New York. Additionally, according to reports, the Punisher and Jessica Jones will also be making their return to New York to join Daredevil in his fight.
