She disappeared after being with Dave Kroupa in Omaha. Her mother called her missing as she was unable to pick up her son. Shortly after it, Kroupa started to receive disturbing texts from "Farver". The messages were hot-tempered and inexorable, and everyone thought she was alive and enraged.The investigators also found out that Farver had declined to live with Kroupa in the morning on the day she disappeared. The truth was far darker. The messages were a sadistic illusion, and Farver had been killed already. This turnover proved the bane of justice and gave a cold-blooded case a long gestation period in the queues of law enforcement.Digital evidence breakthrough in Dateline: ScornedThe Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office sought the assistance of digital expert Anthony Kava to solve the riddle. In his work, it was revealed that Liz Golyar created over twenty-five forged email accounts in the name of Cari Farver. She even used technology to make her songs and messages appear realistic. Kava delivered an impressive presentation of about a thousand slides to explain the findings. The investigators found out that Golyar had been sending tens of thousands of threatening messages in three years, including messages to herself. The cyber trace revealed that Farver was not the source of the harassment. The investigation of Liz Golyar's home turned up evidence of Farver's belongings, including her camera and a camcorder. There was blood upon the seat of her deserted vehicle. The biggest surprise came when Golyar discovered a memory card stashed within the tablet.Anthropologist Anthony Kava recovered erased photos, including one of a foot with the word mother tattooed on it.
