Dateline episode, titled "Someone Was Watching," featured the brutal murder case of Anna Moses, an employee at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Before the events that led to her murder, Moses had separated from her husband and started a new relationship. In November 2014, she was found dead in the garage of her Charleston Drive Home. To the investigators, it initially seemed like an ambush, leaving them with few leads.

However, the case took a turn when neighbours and colleagues told the investigators that Anna was worried about her ex-husband.

In the Dateline interviews, Anna, 43, was described as a kind and hardworking woman who had recently divorced Robert Arthur Moses. The investigation, on Dateline, explores the depth of what led to her tragic end.

On November 13, 2014, when Anna missed a planned date night with her new boyfriend, it rang an alarm. The next morning, she didn't show up for work, which led to more concern.

Police were called to their Dallas home, an investigation began, and inside the garage, her body was found. Anna Moses was shot to death. According to the prosecutors, it seemed more like an ambush attack than an act of sudden violence or robbery.

Initially, the investigators did not have good leads. While interrogating the neighbours and relatives, they learnt that she was worried about her ex-husband, whom she had recently divorced. This turned the case towards Robert. Many friends of Anna spoke about Robert and Anna's relationship and highlighted Robert's controlling behaviour towards her. He had also stalked Anna at some point out of jealousy.

However, the prosecutors still lacked anything substantial.

Some time later, Officer William Lo located Anna’s missing vehicle about a block and a half from her home. There were blood stains on the driver's seat with some smears on the centre console. This came as a huge lead as forensic testing of these blood samples could give them a great advantage. The Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Lab confirmed the blood was a match for Robert Moses.

The investigators further noticed some inconsistencies in Robert's statements, while the investigation ruled out other suspects, like Anna's new boyfriend, friends, and colleagues. The investigation then relied on the time of death, the DNA sample match, and Robert's physical presence at the crime scene.

Prosecutors presented evidence of Robert’s jealousy, controlling nature, and opportunity. While the forensic reports confirmed the attack was close range, that means it was done by someone who was already close to her, or known. Ultimately, the jury found 63-year-old Robert Moses guilty of murder and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
