Baek Ah-jin’s dark secrets come to light in Dear X ending

Episode 12 of Dear X sets the stage for Baek Ah-jin’s destruction from the beginning. Jae-oh prepared the video recording of his death, where it is mentioned by Do-hyuk’s men that he ordered them to kill him. Jae-oh’s phone also contained the malware, which could easily record the video and audio footage. After Jun-seo finds out about the truth, he is completely devastated by Baek Ah-jin’s actions. All he wants is to stop her.

On the other hand, Baek Ah-jin uses the video evidence of Jae-oh’s death to corner Do-hyuk. Do-hyuk asks Ahjin if Jae-oh would have been happy to see that she is using his death in this manner.

Hearing this, Ah-jin says that he let himself be used. Ah-jin’s dangerous nature truly leaves an impact. Jun-seo calls Ah-jin, asking her to stop, but she tells him that she will not be able to stop. This makes Jun-seo realize that he needs to do something to stop Ah-jin. He calls Han Ji-gyu to plan to expose Ah-jin’s truth using the video evidence they have collected.

As Baek Ah-jin reaches the peak of her acting career, Jun-seo prepares to bring her down and finally stop her. At the end of Dear X, when Baek Ah-jin reaches to accept her award at the award ceremony, Jun-seo and Han Ji-gyu prepare the documentary on her, where all about her past activities are revealed in detail. The video holds the ability to completely shatter the fame and power Ah-jin slowly gained using other people for her advantage through the years.

While Baek Ah-jin goes to the stage to collect her award and give her speech, the documentary begins to create chaos in the world. She realizes that the crowd is talking about something. As she enters the backstage area, she sees the documentary. Right at that moment, Jun-seo appears on the screen, revealing the truth about her killing her father. Ah-jin realizes she is now losing everything. The very person who started supporting her from the beginning is now becoming the reason for her end.

She runs out of the hall and finds Jun-seo waiting for her in the car. She asks him to take her somewhere quiet. As they are driving, Jun-seo begins to tell her that she took it too far and he needed her to stop. Ah-jin realizes that Jun-seo is her last shackle holding her down. Dear X ends with Jun-seo driving the car off a cliff with Ah-jin. Though Jun-seo ends up dead, Ah-jin comes out of the car. She survives the crash.
