However, when tourists start dying mysteriously, Dennis is reluctantly taken back to his detective roots, joined by his barmaid Rosa, who is a crime enthusiast with an encyclopedic knowledge of TV mysteries.

John Hannah has had a remarkable career across stage, film and television and is one of the UK's most versatile performers. The actor first gained prominence as Matthew in Four Weddings and a Funeral, which earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor. That breakout role gave him the stage to explore a prolific career spanning romantic comedies, action packed adventures and intense dramas. Fans will remember him as James in Sliding Doors, Terry Swinton in The Hurricane, and Jonathon Carnahan in The Mummy franchise.

Hannah’s television career is equally extensive, with early work in series like Brond and McCallum, where he played a pathologist solving complex mysteries. He later embodied the gritty D.I. John Rebus in Rebus, the determined Jack Roper in New Street Law, and Jake Osbourne in Cold Blood.

His versatility shines through roles such as Quintus Lentulus Batiatus in Spartacus: Blood and Sand and its prequel, and the tech-savvy scientist Holden Radcliffe in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. More recently, he appeared as Archie Wilson in Trust Me and Dr. Jedidiah Bishop in the Canadian medical drama Transplant.
