"Definitely not awkward": Dancing With The Stars' Sasha Farber addresses ex-wife Emma Slater and pro dancer Alan Bersten's relationship

Dancing With The Stars' Sasha Farber commented on his ex-wife Emma Slater's relationship with DWTS pro dancer Alan Bersten in his recent TikTok live.

For the readers who might not know, Sasha and Emma announced their split in 2023 and then got divorced. After that, the two continued to be associated with DWTS, where Alan Bersten happens to be their colleague.

In his TikTok live, Sasha faced the question regarding whether he felt awkward working with his ex-wife Emma and her relationship with Alan. Sasha mentioned that it was not awkward.

"No, not at all. Definitely not awkward. I'm really happy for her and Alan, and I wish them nothing but the best. That's all I can say," said Sasha.

Earlier this month, Dancing With The Stars' Sasha Farber went live on TikTok and interacted with fans. During his live one of the fans asked him whether it was awkward working with Emma on the dance competition after their divorce.

Fans must remember that Sasha and Emma got divorced in February 2023. Responding to the fan question, he noted that it was not awkward. He also added that he was happy for the two and wished them "nothing but the best." After his live, the clip featuring Sasha's response was reposted by several users and sparked a discussion among fans.

Dancing With The Stars' Sasha also shared more during his TikTok live. He mentioned that things don't always work out in life. Hence, there was no point in "ever hating" anyone.

Without getting into details, Sasha talked about thanking each other for the time spent together, and move on:

"Because what’s the point? So you thank each other for your incredible time that you had together... because, you know, the time that we did have together wasn't bad, it was amazing...and you move on and you wish the other person nothing but the best."

Sasha added that there was no point in hating because it would "only eat you up inside." So, he mentioned that everyone should be present and be happy.

After their split was announced, Emma opened up about the reason behind it in her August 2023 appearance on The Viall Files podcast. She noted that it was because of the "kid thing."

She was talking about Sasha wanting kids, and how she didn't want him to delay what he wanted. DWTS star noted that he was ready for that, while she didn't want to get into something she was not sure about. Emma noted that it was something that she took seriously.

"It isn't even really that the love is not there. It's actually not that at all. We're just potentially in two different places. But the hard part was that the love actually didn't go, and we still have that," added Emma during the podcast.

Currently, for the Dancing With The Stars Season 34, Emma is partnered with Andy Richter, while Alan is paired with Elaine Hendrix.
