Following a series of eliminations around Europe, the last four competitors on NBC's reality competition show Destination X have been selected. The Peacock online series, which is hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, takes viewers on a mystery-filled bus trip across the continent. In order to determine their present location, contestants must solve riddles, overcome mental obstacles, and participate in riddle races.
When players enter the map room to predict their location at the conclusion of each episode, there is a twist. The competitor is sent home if their point is the furthest from the real location. Stops in key European cities have already resulted in the elimination of eight players.
As alliances are formed and broken, the nature of the program promotes tremendous psychological games. Gamers have to strike a balance between exchanging knowledge and avoiding elimination. The most startling exits this season have been characterized by last-minute mind games and strategic betrayals. When one incorrect assumption implies the end of the journey, trust becomes a scarce resource. Now, as they contend for the crown, the surviving four must pass the ultimate test.
Who all had to leave Destination X?
As Destination X competitors found it difficult to adjust to the show's unusual structure, the first losses occurred in Italy and Switzerland. Josh Martinez was the first player eliminated in Rome because he was unable to form important partnerships with other players. When strategy became just as crucial as problem-solving abilities, his seclusion cost him dearly.
Jonah Everts came next in Geneva, where deadly blind spots were created by selective information sharing. By this time, groups had already been established; therefore, several competitors were excluded. He was eliminated from Destination X for guessing the worst position in the map room, demonstrating how intelligence turns into money in this game.
Paris marked a turning point when Rachel Rossette fell victim to self-doubt. Despite correctly identifying the French capital initially, the challenges made her second-guess her instincts. Her elimination showed how psychological pressure can override logical thinking.
Amsterdam brought another strategic upset with Tai Lowry's departure. She had performed exceptionally throughout the competition but earned a reputation as a puppet master. When an ally turned against her and fed false information, Tai's strong gameplay couldn't save her from elimination.
Germany and Austria witnessed back-to-back betrayals that shocked viewers. Kim Conner maintained accuracy and secrecy in Munich but still landed in the bottom rankings. Her elimination proved that playing it safe doesn't guarantee survival.
Mack Fitzgerald's exit in Salzburg demonstrated how quickly alliances can crumble. Despite consistent accuracy throughout her run, a trusted ally's betrayal ended her journey when victory seemed within reach.
The Italian canal city delivered the season's most dramatic episode with two contestants eliminated. JaNa Craig struggled with a challenging performance and found herself in the bottom three. A fellow contestant then misled her about the location, sealing her fate.
Ally Bross became the second Venice casualty after a tarot reading influenced her decision-making. With friendships and alliances tested to their limits, her elimination set up the final four showdown.
Who all are left?
Peter Weber, Rick Szabo, Shayne Cureton, and Biggy Bailey are still vying for the Destination X crown. Eight rivals were eliminated via strategic gameplay and psychological warfare, yet everyone has survived.
The victor of this first season will be determined by one last place as their trip continues and the stakes reach their greatest peak.
Destination X premieres Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with new episodes available the next day on Peacock.
