Dexter: Resurrection Episode 3 - Release date news, time, streaming details and more

Dexter: Resurrection, which follows Dexter Morgan escaping death and setting out to look for his son Harrison, had a two-episode release on July 11, 2025, on Paramount+ Premium at 3 am ET/midnight PT. These will be released on SHOWTIME on July 13, 2025, at 8 pm ET/PT. The first two episodes, A Beating Heart... and Camera Shy established the premise of the show and its characters.

The next eight episodes of Dexter: Resurrection are going to be released weekly on Fridays, till 5th September 2025, on Paramount+ Premium at 3 am ET/midnight PT and on the following Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT. Episode 3, Backseat Driver, is going to be released on July 18, 2025, on Paramount+ and on July 20, 2025, on SHOWTIME.

The official logline for the show reads as follows:

"Dexter Morgan awakens from a coma and sets out for NYC to find Harrison."

Dexter: Resurrection episode 3 release and streaming details

Episode 3 of Dexter: Resurrection, Backseat Driver, is going to be released on July 18, 2025, on Paramount+ Premium at 3 am ET/midnight PT and on July 20, 2025, on SHOWTIME at 8 pm ET/PT.

You will need to be subscribed to Paramount+ to watch the episode. You can subscribe to either Paramount+ Essential or Paramount+ Premium. The Essential plan comes with ads and will cost you $7.99 for a month or $59.99 for a year.

However, you will be able to watch Dexter: Resurrection or other SHOWTIME shows only if you are subscribed to the Paramount+ Premium, which comes ad-free, except when you're watching live TV. The Premium plan will cost you $12.99 per month and $119.99 per year. After each episode is released on Paramount+, it will be available for streaming from that time onwards on the same platform.

As for the cast, Michael C. Hall reprises his role as Dexter Morgan in Dexter: Resurrection. He is joined by other main cast members, Uma Thurman as Charley, Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan, David Zayas as Angel Batista, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, James Remar as Harry Morgan, and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater.

The recurring cast of the show includes David Magidoff as Teddy Reed, Krysten Ritter as Mia Lapierre / Lady Vengeance, and Steve Schirripa as Vinny. A few actors are going to star in guest roles, the most awaited one being John Lithgow reprising his role as Arthur Mitchell / Trinity Killer. Other guest stars include Erik King as James Doakes, Jimmy Smits as Miguel Prado, and Reese Antoinette as Joy, among others.

Clyde Phillips serves as the showrunner and also the one who developed the show. Phillips is also an executive producer on Dexter: Resurrection and is joined by Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Hilly Hicks, Jr., John Goldwyn, Sara Colleton, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, and Michael C. Hall. The show has been collaboratively produced by Clyde Phillips Productions, Sal Centric, Counterpart Studios, and Showtime Studios.
