Has the cast of Friends dated each other in real life?

Throughout the 10 years of Friends, the cast members have never dated each other in real life. While in the series we have seen Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, romantically linked to one another, they have never dated each other off-screen. The group also kept their friendship before everything which made it easier for them not to enter into a relationship with each other.

During an interview with the entertainment portal Access, before the time for their renewal episode, the leading male cast Mathew, David, and Matt had revealed why there was no romantic link between the friends. Matthew began by saying "There was a rule that we had [that] was really important to the six of us that we kept a friendship, that we were friends. If we were hooking up or there was any strangeness going on, that might mess with things." David added to this by saying "We didn’t want to jeopardize any of the great relationships and friendships we were forming and had established. It was kind of an unspoken (rule)."

Who were the characters in Friends dating in the series?

In Friends, the audience has witnessed various relationships and romances developing throughout its 10-year journey. Starting with the Geller siblings, Ross Gellar’s character is known to be the only one amongst the cast who was married 3 times in the series. He was initially married to Carol who discovered that she was more interested in being with a woman, ending their marriage and moving on with the character named Susan. Later on, Ross married Emily but after a complicated relationship between her, Ross, and Rachel, Emily opted for a divorce and left Ross. Lastly, Ross ended up in a relationship with Rachel by the end of the series.

Next is Ross’s sister Monica who after having multiple relationships through 6 seasons decided to settle down with her friend and Ross’s best friend Chandler Bing. The duo got married to each other by the end of season 7 and were happily married for the remainder of the series. Phoebe on the other hand was the one who got married to a guy who was not part of the group. Phoebe got married to Mike Hannigan (played by actor Paul Rudd) in the show’s ninth season. Out of the group, only Joey did not end up in a permanent relationship with anyone.
