Robert House appears ot be alive in the season 1 finale of Fallout. This further confirms that Season 2 is officially heading to New Vegas and will be answering one of the franchise's biggest decisions yet since the release of the video game 15 years ago.

Although season 1 introduced new characters, factions, and regions of the Wasteland, the season 2 trailer already teases the return of iconic faces and locations fans have been waiting to see adapted for live action.

Season 1 followed Vault Dweller Lucy, Brotherhood of Steel Squire, and the centuries-old bounty hunter known as the Ghoul. Their stories collide when Lucy leaves the safety of Vault 33 to rescue her father, Hank, who is kidnapped. This is when she meets Maximus, who rises in the brotherhood through deception, stealing the Knight's identity. He was assigned to serve and is later credited with killing Moldaver, which eventually secures him to be promoted to Knight.

Hank holds some crucial information about the family he had before the Great War, and this is when Lucy also allies with Ghoul. In the final moments of the season, Lucy and the Ghoul look toward the glowing skyline of New Vegas, agreeing to travel there together. Their journey will take them into one of the most iconic regions in the Fallout universe, ultimately revealing the fate of New Vegas after the events of the beloved game.

Crucially, Fallout: New Vegas is set in the year 2281, while the Fallout TV series takes place in 2296. This means Lucy and the Ghoul are walking into a Mojave formed after the game ending. In New Vegas, the players would control the Courier, who survives an attempted assassination. Courier is dug out of a shallow grave and heads towards Mojave to find out his killer, Benny, and confront him. This makes them a part of the massive political struggle over the future of New Vegas.

Along the way, Courier is meant to encounter Ceaser's legion, an ancient slave empire formed after ancient Rome. Along with this, the New California Republic (NCR), a democracy turned bureaucratic military force, will also shape his journey.

Ultimately, the Courier must choose which of these powers will shape the Mojave’s future, seizing control over the house robot army. The game's final scenes reveal how New Vegas transformed with time based on the player's decision. Therefore, even TV series season 2 would attempt to weave the same world together, for fans' satisfaction, only more dramatically than ever.

Season 2 drops on December 17, 2025, with episode 1.
