Did Jules get arrested for Anna’s murder in Black Rabbit?

Black Rabbit, owned by Jake, is one of the more thriving businesses in New York. Many a times the elite clientele of Black Rabbit indulge in inappropriate activities at the restaurant, which Jake would conveniently ignore for the sake of the business. However, this changes when bartender Anna, who works at the place, is s**ually assaulted by a regular customer, Jules. But despite bringing her ordeal to Jake's attention, he continues to be complicit.

Jake is unsympathetic towards Anna, as he is more engrossed in the shortfalls of his business. Jake will access the CCTV footage, which reveals that Jules had spiked her drink. He had taken her in her intoxicated state to the bathroom, where he assaulted her. And this was not the only time he had done it. Jake had time and again turned a blind eye to keep up his flourishing business. Instead of helping Anna, Jake will take money from Campbell (played by Morgan Spector), Jules’ fixer, to remove the footage.

Jules wants to keep Anna away from making the incident public, especially since she decides to talk to a reporter. His fixer will propose substantial money and even give her the opportunity to leave the country. Anna accepts it reluctantly, ready to move on. But things don't stop there. Junior and Babbitt go to Anna's place to threaten her. They break down the bathroom door, which hits her head, and she gets killed.

For the brothers, Anna’s death becomes the turning point and things start to spiral out of control. Towards the end of Black Rabbit, Jake decides to finally stop aiding criminals. Guilt-driven, he will hand over the backup drive to the detective. The police will arrest Jules at his art gallery for assaulting Anna. While she found a tragic end, she finally gets justice.

Black Rabbit is created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman for Youngblood Pictures. The series premiered recently on Netflix with eight episodes. The cast of the series also includes Cleopatra Coleman, Amaka Okafor, Dagmara Dominczyk, Odessa Young and Amir Malaklou.
