When Perfect Match season 3 debuted on Netflix in August 2025, two of the most talked-about competitors were Ollie Sutherland and Amber Desiree "AD" Smith. Both were already well-known from the Love Is Blind series; Ollie was a cast member of the first season of Love Is Blind: UK, and AD had an appearance on season 6 of Love Is Blind U.S.

They clicked right away when they arrived at the Perfect Match villa, and they soon rose to prominence as one of the most well-known couples of the season. The couple seemed to get stronger over the episodes, despite the typical hiccups and difficulties of the reality show.

However, many fans questioned whether they remained together after Perfect Match. The answer is yes. AD and Ollie announced their engagement at the Love Is Blind season 8 reunion in March 2025.

The couple is also expecting their first child, a baby girl, who is due in November, and a wedding is planned for later this year.

Perfect Match: What the reunion and social media reveal about their current status

AD and Ollie’s bond didn’t just survive Perfect Match, it grew into a serious commitment. During the Love Is Blind season 8 reunion, which aired in March 2025, Ollie explained to hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey how their connection deepened beyond the show. During the reunion, he said:

“Even as early on as when we were on Perfect Match, I noticed that we were having the deeper conversations, the more important conversations, talking about shared values and similar outlooks on life.”

He added:

“I think that really laid the groundwork and the foundation for the beautiful relationship we have now.”

Following the reunion, the couple continued to share significant updates. In May 2025, they announced they were expecting their first child together. In a conversation with E! News, published in July 2025, AD said:

“I’m so blessed, and I get to do this with such an amazing partner. We’re on this journey together, and we’re just so excited about our little girl. She’ll be here in November, and it’s been amazing.”

AD shared that she and her partner plan to get married by the end of 2025, though they are not rushing the process. In a July 2025 interview, she explained that wedding planning is moving along gradually and that she is enjoying being engaged. Adding that the wedding will happen sometime this year, she said:

“We’re taking it day by day.”

Inside AD and Ollie’s relationship on Perfect Match season 3

AD and Ollie connected almost immediately upon arriving at the Perfect Match villa. Both entered in the early episodes and quickly found comfort in their shared background.

“I got to take care of my LIB people,” AD remarked during their first interactions. Their chemistry grew rapidly, with AD commenting on their “insane” physical connection and Ollie admitting that he was surprised by how strongly he felt so early.

Their first major conflict was in the boardroom, when Ollie selected Alex from Temptation Island to enter the villa for a date with another contestant. AD questioned whether Ollie had a romantic interest in Alex.

Although Ollie found Alex attractive, he reaffirmed his commitment to AD after the situation settled. Their bond strengthened when they rated each other highest in the blindfolded kissing challenge.

Later, AD was sent on a date with J.R. from The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On. The two had an enjoyable pottery date, and their shared zodiac sign sparked curiosity. They returned holding hands, prompting concern from Ollie. However, Ollie responded by expressing vulnerability. He told AD that she had meant more to him than his former fiancée from Love Is Blind: UK. AD once again chose to stay with him.

The biggest disruption occurred when Ollie was selected for a new date, resulting in AD having to leave the villa. She described her “heart as shattered.” While Ollie initially appeared emotional, his attitude shifted when he met new contestants Justine (Love Island USA season 2) and Olivia (Temptation Island). He eventually matched with Justine, stating he was “fairly certain it was AD,” but now felt “not so sure.”

As the gender-separated mixers began, AD re-entered the environment as a single. Previews for the next set of Perfect Match episodes hinted at drama between her and Ollie.
