DMV Season 1 Episode 7 recap: Barb battles self-doubt and her rival's dubious success

DMV Season 1 is back with yet another interesting episode. This episode definitely gets quite intriguing because of the guest appearance of Randall Park as Beau. It cannot be denied that with each episode, the series is creating a dedicated fanbase. Each and every episode of DMV Season 1 brings forth humorous elements that keep the viewers hooked throughout.

Barb battles self-doubt and her rival's dubious success in DMV Season 1 episode 7

This episode of DMV Season 1 begins by showing us Beau’s working strategies. Seeing the advertisement, Barb is completely mesmerized. She then decides to do a team-building exercise after getting inspired by Beau’s process. However, none of the team members is happy about this. As the episode of DMV Season 1 progresses, Colette arrives to speak to Noa about his weekend. Noa begins to tell her about his time with Mary.

However, Colette is not interested in it. Colette then asks Gregg and Vic if she is a rebel. Gregg and Vic make her understand that she is not a rebel but rather a “Teacher’s Co-Pette”. Barb arrives again to voice her disapproval of the fame that Beau and his team are getting. She wants her team to have the same success. However, hearing this makes Colette and Vic tell her about the devastating situation that their office is in.

Barb tells them that Beau’s team is getting successful because of their average processing time, which is only five minutes. However, at their office it is 12 minutes. Barb then tells them that they all should go to the NoHo branch to see their process. They reach the North Hollywood branch, and Barb is completely fascinated by the ambience.

Right when Barb is timing the customers, Beau arrives. She then begins to ask him about how his team is so efficient, unlike hers. Beau. On the other hand, Gregg and Vic tell Colette to prove her rebel side by getting past the security. However, when Colette tries to bribe the staff, she gets caught by Beau.

As this episode of DMV Season 1 continues, Gregg, Vic, and Collete search for the soft serve machine. While searching for the machine, they find that their copy machine was delivered to the North Hollywood office. Colette decides to steal the parcel along with Gregg and Vic.

It can be understood that Colette is trying her best to bring out her rebellious streak. Barb’s decision to take tips from Beau also ends up in a disaster as Beau insinuates that it is her fault that her team is not doing well. When Colette, Gregg, and Vic bring the copy machine back to their office, they find that their machine has already been delivered. So, they actually stole the wrong one.

They decide to return the machine to the NoHo office; however, they find that the door is locked. Barb then tells Gregg, Vic, and Colette to form a pyramid structure to go through the window so that the door can be opened. Noa is the only person who finds the issue in Beau’s office. He understands that their average processing time is low because they rigged the system. They send the customers to another window and close the ticket so that it seems quick. Barb finally understands that Beau was cheating through it all.

This episode of DMV Season 1 ends with Gregg and Vic negotiating with Beau about the soft serve and winning.
