This is not the first time Sea Monsters will be on screen, as they had appeared in 1972 and fought the Third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee. While bringing back popular monsters from the sci-fi show's universe, Davies also revealed how the show shares more connections with the universe by using the same set from a previous spin-off series. While talking to Radio Times, the writer and showrunner revealed:"We use a lot of the same sets as we used in Children of Earth… you’ll see a lot of the same staircases appear, a lot of the same corridors… It’s in the same world."Furthermore, he also shared how the new spin-off series will be exciting for viewers to watch it and the Torchwood Season 3 "together", as they both deal with mankind's conflict with the aliens, and said:"I think you’ll have fun if you watch this and Children of Earth together, because they’re both about alien species – or otherworldly species – encountering the human race in an ambassadorial context."Children of Earth dealt with the organization called Torchwood, who protect the Earth from alien attacks, and in the series try to protect the children that the aliens demand, but are also in a dangerous situation with the government, which wants to kill them all to hide their own dubious activities from the past.Similarly, the latest Doctor Who spin-off will also see a thrilling narrative about extraterrestrial beings threatening the Earth and its inhabitants, and UNIT (Unified Intelligence Taskforce) doing their best to contain the issue, which might become a raging war.The series stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Salt and will bring back Jemma Redgrave's beloved character, Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, the commander-in-chief of UNIT, to the screen. The series also includes stars such as Russell Tovey, Ruth Madeley, Adrian Lukis, Mei Mac, Adrian Lukis, and Vincent Franklin, among numerous others.Don't forget to tune into BBC One and BBC iPlayer on December 7, 2025, to catch the first two episodes of the Doctor Who spin-off.Keep reading Soap Central for more such stories. Also Read: Stranger Things star Sadie Sink opens up about her “nerve wracking” first day on the set of the Netflix sci-fi horror series
