Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 1 begun streaming on Netflix from September 11, 2025 and while the first eight episodes have already been explosive, there are more twists and turns to come as the second part of Beauty in Black Season 2 drops soon.
Created by Tyler Perry, the drama show features Taylor Polidore Williams, Crystle Stewart, Ts Madison, Richard Lawson, and others. The show focuses on two women, Kimmie (Williams) and Mallory (Stewart), who have extremely opposite lives. However, the two cross each other's paths and that leads to big changes.
While Kimmie is an exotic dancer and is stuck with an abusive pimp, Mallory heads the successful Beauty in Black haircare company and is stuck in a loveless marriage. Beauty in Black Season 2 begins on an explosive note as Kimmie becomes the new Head Bellarie in Charge after marrying Horace.

Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 1 begins with Kimmie marrying Horace and becoming the Head Bellarie in Charge and the new COO of the company. Kimmie has to deal with opposition from Horace’s sons Roy and Charles and from his brother Norman and his ex-wife Olivia. However, Kimmie quickly takes up the mantle of the titular company and decides to create sweeping changes.
On the other hand, the former boss of the company, Mallory is not happy with Kimmie usurping her from her throne and even though Mallory sees Kimmie’s potential, she does not want her power and status to be stolen. Further, Roy walks in on Charles and attorney Varney together and decides to use this information to his advantage and tell the rest of the family.
Charles will need Varney's help in the second half of the season, as Charles had a robbery attempt against him but he shoots and kills them all. He asks Varney to help him handle the situation, but Varney walks in on Charles to find him dismembering the bodies of the thieves. This situation will test his loyalty to Charles.
On the other hand, Kimmie’s friend Rain grows closer to officer Alex and wants revenge against Daga for almost killing her. Alex shoots Daga and her accomplice Shake Shake. Rain also creates more trouble as she pushes Glen—the son of head of security Jules—out of the window after seeing him intimate with Kimmie’s sister Sylvie. She wrongly thinks that Glen is assaulting Sylvie. Glen is not dead but he has serious injuries. Ultimately, viewers also get to see what happens to Angel in Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 1.
What happens to Angel in Beauty in Black Season 2? Details explored
In Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 1, Angel lurks around a stolen car and gets arrested by the police. In Season 1 of the show, Kimmie had stolen a car to take Sylvie to the hospital and she discovers that there is a man in the backseat who is about to die.
Afterwards, Angel finds out that the man was the father-in-law of a dreaded criminal called Daniel Lakeland and Angel tries to get rid of the man’s body and therefore is lurking around the car. However, he is caught by the police before he can act.
On the other hand, Horace knows Lakeland as Norman and judge Harold conduct illegal business with him. When Horace comes to know about Kimmie’s involvement in the carjacking that led to Lakeland’s father-in-law’s death, he tries to keep Kimmie safe from Lakeland’s revenge.
Horace tries to find someone to take the fall and when Harold mentions that a kid has been put in jail for lurking around the car, Horace tries to frame him, without knowing that the kid is actually Angel. Horace tells Jules to get Angel released. Therefore, Angel does get released from jail. Once he is free, Angel gets caught in a drive-by shooting at a bus stop.
Jules had wanted to kill Angel to make Lakeland happy and viewers later find out that Angel is actually alive and had only pretended to be dead in front of Jules’ men. Horace finds out that Angel is alive and the two talk about things and Horace allows Angel to live in his mansion. In Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 1, Angel lives a life of luxury as Horace lets him use a credit card.
Towards the end of Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 1, Angel rushes out while shopping as he gets a call from Rain to come back to Horace’s mansion as she needs his help. What Angel does not know is that Rain has pushed Jules’ son Glen out of the window after she caught him getting intimate with Sylvie and thinking that he was assaulting her. Therefore, the next part will have even more surprises and thrills.
