Netflix recently premiered its dark-comedy series Sirens, and it has taken the audience by storm. From Julianne Moore's Michaela as an endlessly entertaining study of wealth, and the power it gives to the utterly addictive charm of Meghann Fahy's Devon, Sirens has quickly become a fan favorite.

The unexpected ending of the show has led us all to wonder if there will be a second season to the show to understand where the three ladies end up. Since Netflix marketed the show as a limited series, it is unclear whether it will be renewed for another season, but the stars, as well as the creator, have their thoughts about another season.

Here's what they mentioned about the possibility of another season.

Is a renewal in the cards for Netflix's limited dark comedy Sirens?

Sirens was an exceptionally entertaining watch when the outspoken, liberated, and relentlessly herself Devon lands in Michaela Bell's perfectly tailored pastel world looking for her sister Simone, an assistant to Michaela. Nobody, not even the stars themselves, expected the ending where Devon and Michaela shared a powerful moment of understanding after Peter and Simone's betrayal.

The ending of the show was open-ended in the way that even though all three of these women went through major changes to their self, from Michalea's world breaking down, to Devon having to accept that she didn't know who her baby sister was anymore, we don't actually know what happens to these women after they go through these big changes.

When talking about the possibility of another season, Meghan Fahy, who plays Devon, discussed the possibility of another season in a conversation with Variety. She explained that even though the ending was natural, she herself would love to find out what happens to the characters after this ending.

"it ends in a very natural way, but I can imagine what the characters’ worlds become. I, for one, would love to know what happens to Michaela, where she goes."

Netflix has been marketing Sirens as a limited series, so there is no certainty if the show will return for another season, but witnessing the characters getting so much acclaim from the audience, and their hopes for another season, the show might just get picked up for a renewal. Fahy revealed that:

"So I think it’s definitely within the realm of possibility. We didn’t talk about it on set, but I would love to do more."

This ending, according to creator Molly Smith Metzler, is supposed to make the audience reconsider the assumptions they've made about the show and its characters. However, in conversation with Glamour, she did say that she wouldn't say no to the possibility of another season:

"Because to me, it means that people love the characters, and that’s the ultimate compliment. These characters are real people to me. I wrote the play [that Sirens is based on] 15 years ago. I’ve been thinking about them this whole time. I could write them until the day I die. I’d never say never, but could I do them justice in another season? I’d have to think about it."
