We all know that British comedy icon Nick Frost is the actor playing Hagrid in HBO's Harry Potter series. Frost's involvement in the much-awaited HBO series has fans hopeful that the actor's best friend, Simon Pegg, will join the series. It must also be noted that Pegg already has a connection with the Wizarding World as he voiced Phineas Nigellus Black in the 2023 game, Hogwarts Legacy.

In April 2023, it was officially announced that the WBD greenlit a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling's seven Potter books from HBO. Each novel will be adapted in a separate season. The upcoming first season will be adapting the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, which will follow Harry and his friends, Ron and Hermione, in their first year at Hogwarts.
