Green Arrow, the classic DC Comics superhero, debuted in More Fun Comics #73 in 1941. Oliver Queen, his alter ego, is a wealthy businessman from Star City who transforms into a vigilante archer after a life-changing incident.

Green Arrow was largely inspired by Robin Hood. He is well-known for his exceptional archery skills, ability in hand-to-hand combat, and use of imaginative specialty arrows designed for a variety of situations. He has battled crime both on his own and as a member of well-known organizations such as the Justice League over the years. Green Arrow remains one of DC's most iconic street-level heroes.

Stephen Amell has remarked that he is "down to do anything that makes the fans happy," implying that he is still open to returning to the DC Universe. During a panel at Motor City Comic Con, he and David Ramsey discussed future comebacks, even as new characters. Amell emphasized his close relationship with fans and his appreciation for his role as Green Arrow.

More about Green Arrow star Stephen Amell

Stephen Amell is closely associated with Oliver Queen even years after the conclusion of Arrow, and fans often wonder if the original Green Arrow actor would fit in with the new storyline as James Gunn transforms DC's cinematic universe. And Amell recently said he is still quite open to the idea, despite the fact that nothing has been confirmed.

At Motor City Comic Con, during the Arrowverse Heroes panel moderated by ScreenRant's Joe Deckelmeier, Amell and his longtime co-star David Ramsey discussed whether they would return to DC in some capacity. Ramsey noted that the new DCU has already shown a willingness to recast players in new roles, similar to how Jason Momoa transitioned from one DC character to another. Amell accepted the idea, stating

"down to do anything that makes the fans happy"

That particular emotional connection is a major part of why he would consider stepping back into the DC world, whether as Oliver Queen or in a completely new capacity. He emphasized that making fans happy remains his biggest motivation, and he would gladly be involved if the opportunity fit naturally within the DCU’s plans.

With movies like Superman and Batman: The Brave and the Bold at the top of the early schedule, James Gunn's rebooted world is now concentrated on fresh narratives and revised character interpretations. The DCU's multiverse framework allows returning legacy actors to make appearances in special events or alternate-timeline stories, although Green Arrow has not yet been revealed as a part of the lineup.

Amell has made it quite simple that he is thankful for the part that shaped much of his career and that he is open to returning in any creative way, even though he isn't anticipating a call. He is fully prepared to suit up once more for the supporters who have stood by him from the start if DC Studios finds a position for him, whether it be new or old.
