Cath Collins has appeared on MasterChef Australia twice but has not yet ended up winning the championship. However, this does not discourage her from being the best version of herself and tackling her passion head-on at any given age. She is a self-taught cook from Melbourne and a mother.

Her first season on the show was partially a success as she was able to make it to the Top 5. However, when she appeared the next time to try her luck, she was eliminated in the very first round.

She also launched her own business, Cath's Kitchen, to teach people who want to learn how to cook. After she was eliminated from the series for the second time, she took to her Instagram to share a heartfelt message for everyone who is trying hard for their dreams.

Cath then sat down with The Australian Women's Weekly, where she was asked about her views on women who have put their careers on hold for far too long and now think that it is too late to work on them. She said,

"I’d tell them gently: it’s not too late. Not even close. Dreams don’t have an expiry date, and sometimes, they just need to simmer for a while. Life takes us in all sorts of directions, but if there’s a dream still whispering to you, listen to it."

She added,

"You don’t have to leap all at once — even a small step counts. I always tell my girls, if you put yourself out there, you will always be rewarded, and those rewards may not be what you initially think, but there’s always a lesson or a feeling that comes from being brave and courageous."

MasterChef Australia alum Cath Collins talks about her exit

When she appeared on MasterChef for the second time, it was devastating to see her get eliminated so early on in the show, especially when she had made it to the Top 5 previously.

Talking about the same, she said that even though feeling disappointed was a part of it, she is also proud of herself. She hopes to inspire other women of her age to "step outside of their comfort zone." Cath wants all of them to take the first step and show up, and even though things might not go according to plan, it is still worth it.

Cath said that the first time on MasterChef, she was unprepared and did not know how tough the competition could be. However, the second time had given her more clarity, having experienced all of that firsthand.

However, her time was cut short after the first round, but she had initially hoped to see herself get ahead in the rounds with the expertise she has. Even though it was sad to see herself get eliminated, Cath says that she would not change a thing about it.

MasterChef Australia airs weekly on Sundays at 7 PM AEST and on Mondays at 7:30 PM AEST on 10. Later, the episodes can be streamed online via 10 Play.
