Elsbeth navigates the maze of intuition and logic in Elsbeth Season 3 Episode 10
This episode of Elsbeth Season 3 starts with a change in the ballet routine of Midtown Ballet. This change affects Noelle, who has been playing the role of every child character since she was six. Hence, her father takes her to a therapy session to cope with the news. Noelle is also worried that she will not be able to play Clara anymore, as she will be old and the role will be given to someone else.
So, Harris Monroe begins to worry about how to make his daughter happy. Back at Midtown Ballet, Donovan and his team prepare for the ballet with the new contraption. As the contraption is shutting slowly, Donova gets angry. He wants it to be quicker, even though it might be dangerous for the performers. Harris begins to inspect the mechanism that will be used in the demo performance. It can be understood that he is planning to do something.
As the episode of Elsbeth Season 3 progresses, the day of the contraption demo comes. Harris arrives at the location and begins to tamper with the mechanisms of the contraption in a discreet manner so that nobody can see him. Right in the moment Donovan enters the contraption, it shuts down on him and kills him instantly. Elsbeth and the detective arrive at the scene to investigate.
Though the main focus goes to Keith, who is the operator of the mechanics, who is in a completely devastated state, says otherwise. Elsbeth and the detective Jackie Donnelly go to speak with Olivia, the instructor. Olivia informs them about the disappointed parents who did not approve of Donovan’s take on the Nutcracker. This makes them speak with Harris.
Elsbeth and Jackie begin to question Harris about his whereabouts on the day of Donovan’s death. Elsbeth then asks Harris about his emotional state when his plan was rejected by the board. However, Harris evades the question perfectly. Elsbeth understands that Harris definitely has a motive.
As this episode of Elsbeth Season 3 continues, Elsbeth visits the physical therapy location where Harris went to check his alibi. There, she finds out that his alibi is shaky, and he could have easily gotten the time to tamper with the machine and return to the therapy session. Elsbeth then goes to Rich’s house to find out more about Harris.
However, there they do not find many details about the case as Harris arrives. Harris understands that they are doubting him, so he pretends to be concerned about Keith to Rich, making it sound as if Keith may have tampered with the machine to kill Donovan to make Harris happy, as Keith had feelings for him. Rich informs Detective Jackie and Elsbeth about it right away. Detective Jackie is completely sure that Keith was the murderer; however, Elsbeth does not believe it. Elsbeth’s observation skills bring the opportunity to prove Harris’s crime as she notices one of the performers looking at a camera.
After she contacted the performer, she received the video footage, which contained it all. Harris was called once again, and Elsbeth began to tell him that he hid inside the Mother Ginger dress to avoid being seen and then tampered with the mechanics of the contraption. Harris is proven to have committed the murder. Even though every clue led towards Keith, Elsbeth refused to believe them and went with her observation skills. She came out victorious once again in this episode of Elsbeth Season 3.
