The second episode of Elsbeth Season 3 took the viewers on a rollercoaster ride. Humor and intensity combine to bring out the essence of the series. The second episode begins with a doll deal where the dealer dies by falling on the concrete. The buyer soon flees from the situation, but cannot run away long as escaping from Elsbeth’s sharp eye is truly not easy.
She soon catches up to the whole situation, but before she can handle it all, the buyer, Nolan Hurst, starts a hostage situation. He takes the employees of the store hostage and asks for a jet to escape. Though the police try to take steps to kill Nolan right away, Elsbeth understands that there's more to the situation than meets the eye.
She speaks with Nolan and understands why he did what he did. In the end, she comes out victorious to calm the situation down, just like always, and even assures Nolan that she will be helping him.
Elsbeth is a TV show that treats the viewers as an intelligent partner accompanying the characters while the case is being solved. This enhances the overall appeal of the series. This series proves that it does not need to remove humor to bring out an intense storyline. Humor perfectly complements the investigation procedure, making the series worth watching.
