Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10 is titled Veni, Vidi, Venezia. It serves as the season finale and premiered on Netflix on December 18, 2025.

In this Episode, we have Venice Fashion Week, chaos, and drama, the holy trinity of any good Emily Cooper adventure. Emily tags along with her boyfriend, Marcello Muratori, who is about to show off his own fashion line for the first time. The agency’s rep and Sylvie and Nico’s bank accounts are riding on whether Marcello nails it.

Things don’t exactly go smoothly. There’s a near disaster when Venice’s infamous acqua alta floods the venue, throwing the fashion show into chaos. On top of that, someone drops an unexpected proposal while floating down a canal in a gondola. Emily has her own big decision: should she stay in Paris or head off to Rome? By the end, Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10 hints at where things could go from here. Gabriel sends Emily a postcard from Greece, laying the groundwork for what’s next if the show gets a sixth season.

Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10 wraps up, and Paris feels like a distant memory. It’s all gondolas and Venetian magic instead of croissants and cobblestones. The episode puts Emily into the mess she has created with her love life, her job, and everything that makes her Emily Cooper.

Emily and Marcello are cruising through Venice on a boat, with Mindy and Nico tagging along. The vibe is dreamy. Everyone is living it up, snapping selfies, and soaking in the canals. Marcello gets his big break as his first solo fashion show is looming over him, and you can see the nerves under all that romance.

Marcello sends Emily and Mindy to check out the city while he collaborates with Nico, Luc, and Julien to get ready for the show. Venice’s serpentine paths are the places that the girls go, all the while they take pictures and have a super rare experience of peace before the coming chaos gets to them.

Meanwhile, Sylvie is off in Rome, but not for a vacation. She is at Lady Gianna’s husband’s funeral. They end up swapping war stories over cocktails about their financially cursed marriages. Sylvie thought divorcing Laurent would be her ticket to freedom, but guess what? His trash nightclub debt is now her problem, and if things go south, Agence Grateau ends then and there.

Emily’s going around the hotel room, and she finds an engagement ring tucked away in Marcello’s suitcase. Cue internal meltdown. She beelines for Mindy, her bestie, totally freaking out. She has the right to panic; their relationship’s been a circus already. Breakups, makeups, Marcello ditching his family’s business in a blaze of drama... Now this? The idea of getting engaged is equal parts exhilarating and alarmingly fast.

From that moment on, in Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10, Emily sees signs everywhere. Marcello takes her out for lunch? Must be about to pop the question. Offers her tiramisu? Clearly, there’s a ring inside. She has a proposal paranoia and is reading way too much into every tiny thing. The suspense is eating her alive.

Then, just when you think things couldn’t get messier, disaster crashes the party. Literally. Marcello reveals that the venue is underwater. That acqua alta tidal rolled in, and now the whole place is a soggy mess. No plan B, with fashion bigwigs already rolling up, everyone is freaking out. If Marcello fails his debut, the fallout will be brutal, not just for him but for the whole crew backing him.

Emily is not about to let the ship sink. She throws out a wild idea: work with the flood, not against it. Instantly, the team is hustling, swapping stilettos for rain boots, slapping on raincoats, whatever it takes. The show kicks off, models strutting through ankle-deep water, Marcello’s clothes looking even better against the chaos. What should have been a PR nightmare turns into the most unforgettable show ever.

In Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10, the tension escalates when Marcello’s mom, Antonia, shows up out of nowhere. Antonia earlier slapped Marcello with a lawsuit for ditching the family fashion empire. She could have ruined the whole night with her dramatic entrance. But it actually flips everything upside down.

So Antonia watches her son absolutely crush it on the runway and, out of nowhere, she gets all emotional. Next thing you know, she is up there in front of everyone, dropping the lawsuit and forgiving Marcello. She asks him to return and take control of the family brand. Marcello’s risky move totally pays off.

This just changed Emily’s game, too. Marcello wants her to run marketing in Solitano and wants her to move in and build a life with him in Italy.

Later that night, in Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10, the crew is floating around Venice on a gondola, and everyone is getting a little sentimental. Marcello and Nico start gushing about their relationships. Then, Marcello reaches into his pocket, and Emily is convinced he is about to propose. So, in front of everyone, she just blurts out this huge, awkward “no.”

Everyone just stops. Time slows. Marcello looks like he has been hit by a bus. Turns out, he wasn’t even proposing. The ring was not for Emily. It’s for Mindy, because Nico is the one popping the question. Mindy says yes, even though she has all this messy Alfie baggage still hanging around.

After all that chaos, Emily and Marcello finally get real with each other in Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10. She owns up to jumping the gun, but also lays it all on the table: she can’t leave Paris. It’s not just work anymore; it’s home. Marcello gets it, even though you can tell it stings. He is locked into Italy now. They both admit the feelings are there, but sometimes love just isn’t enough if your lives are going in opposite directions. One last kiss, and that’s it. Not the fairytale ending, but timing really is everything.

So, Emily is back in Paris, unloading her breakup drama on Mindy, who, by the way, just got engaged and is already drowning in wedding pressure from Nico. Their conversation is interrupted when Alfie pops up outside Antoine’s. He barely holds it together when he sees that engagement ring, and then he straight-up tells her she is making a mistake.

In Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10, Emily heads back to Agence Grateau, and Sylvie reveals that Gianna has swooped in as a partner and, just like that, the agency isn’t going under anymore. Also, Sylvie apparently nudged Emily toward Italy not because she thought Emily needed a career boost, but because she wanted to keep her safe from the agency’s financial downfall. That’s kind of sweet, but also, thanks for nothing, Sylvie.

Meanwhile, Gabriel is living his best life. He finds out he gets a six-month break from cooking for some billionaire on a yacht, so now he is chilling in Greece. True to his word, he drops Emily a postcard. Sylvie lets him know about Emily’s breakup, and the timing is impossible to ignore.

Emily reads the postcard with a quiet smile. There’s no grand declaration, just a possibility.

Emily in Paris Season 5 Episode 10 wraps up with Emily doing classic Emily thing: standing at a crossroads, Paris glittering behind her, future looking mysterious and unwritten. If there’s one thing this show hammers home, it’s that Emily’s story is definitely not wrapping up anytime soon.

She is Emily in Paris, not Emily with Closure.
