The Emmys 2025 have kick-started the awards season for 2025-26, and many major TV series have already won big. Comedian Nate Bargatze is currently hosting the ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles, California. You can either watch it on CBS or stream it live on Paramount+ or the CBS app.

While Apple TV+'s Severance became the most-nominated TV series, with 27 nods, it was network freshman The Studio, which turned the most heads and bagged 24 noms.

Emerging as a silent (but powerful) winner in the Limited series category is Netflix's psychological crime drama series Adolescence. This four-part limited series, created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, won big at the Emmys 2025 and has managed to win three Emmy awards.

Adolescence dominated the Limited Series category at the Emmys 2025

Netflix's Adoelscene became the breakout drama series for the network in 2025, bagging thirteen nominations at Emmys 2025, including for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and acting noms for Graham and Owen Cooper.

Graham's drama series won big in three major categories: Best Directing, Best Writing, and Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Limited Series or Movie category.

15-year-old Owen Cooper, who played a troubled boy Jamie Miller in the series, became the youngest actor to win an Emmy award. Cooper gave a heartwarming acceptance speech at the Emmys 2025, thanking the cast and crew who worked with him on the series:

"Wow, it's so surreal. Honestly, when I started these drama classes back then, I didn't expect to be winning this award. I think tonight proves that if you learn and focus and step out of your comfort zone, you can achieve anything in life. I'm thankful. I was nothing about three years ago, but I'm here now."

Owen Cooper was highly praised for his character, and each episode of the limited series was shot in one continuous take.. The young actor is all set to star as Young Heathcliff in Emerald Fennell's upcoming film Wuthering Heights, which is an adaptation of Emily Brontë's eponymous classic novel.

Additionally, Philip Barantini won the award for Best Director, and Thorne and Graham took the award for Best Writing. While the show was already a hit among audiences and critics alike, and climbed Netflix's Top 10 charts, this huge win at the Emmys 2025 reiterated its success.

In addition to Cooper, Adolescence also stars Graham, Ashley Walters, Christine Tremarco, and Erin Doherty, who all secured acting noms at the Emmys 2025. The series follows a 13-year-old boy, Jamie, who is accused and arrested for the murder of his classmate Kate, who rejected his advances at school. The drama series explored themes of bullying, male rage, and the negative effects of social media.

Adolescence is now streaming on Netflix.
