English Teacher Season 2 trailer reveals more fun and more chaos in the life of Evan

English Teacher season two trailer opens in classic Morrison-Hensley fashion, as a student points out that their teacher, Evan, is late to class, and another says she thinks his shirt's colour isn't looking too good on him. English teacher, the FX Networks show, which was first released on 2nd September 2024, is returning for its second season on 25th September 2025. The show follows the personal and professional life of Evan Marquez, an English teacher, as we see him go through the ups and downs of his career at the school.

In the new school year, the faculty has to impress their evaluators, students worry about college applications, stage a play about Covid-19, and Evan's mother gives him a surprise visit.

English Teacher season two will follow a new school year as the faculty prepares to impress the evaluators. We also see Evan try and help his students with their college applications. He insists that the students should apply to the colleges they want to, not just to the ones their parents went their, and thus they are a legacy. But one student says,

''Yeah, but if you're dumb, you low-key have no other choice.''

Another highlight of the season is that a member of the US Army will be coming to the school to recruit students for the Army. From the trailer, it looks like his visit does not go pleasantly. He grabs a man, thinking him to be a threat, and it makes for a funny moment, which Gwen Sanders records on her phone.

Evan's mother is going to visit him this season, and that will stress him out. On top of that, one of Evan's students is surprised that his mother is still alive when he tells them about his mother's visit. It's clear that they think Evan is old, and he clarifies to his students that he is thirty-five.

We also see the students highlight the trauma they went through during COVID, and then they come up with the idea to stage a play called COVID in America. The trailer gives us a sneak peek of the play, which is definitely funny and extremely awkward. Thus, season two is going to be chaotic, yet fun and challenging for Evan, the students, and the rest of the faculty.

English Teacher is created by Brian Jordan Alvarez, who is also an executive producer on the show and stars as the protagonist Evan Marquez. The rest of the cast includes Stephanie Koenig as Gwen Sanders, Enrico Colantoni as Grant Moretti, Sean Patton as Markie Hillridge, Carmen Christopher as Rick Santana, and Jordan Firstman as Malcolm, among others. Other than Alvarez, the executive producers on the show are Paul Simms, Jonathan Krisel, and Dave King.

English Teacher season two will premiere on 25th September, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET on FX. The entire second season will be available for streaming on Hulu from 26th September 2025.
