The end of Stranger Things is closer than ever, and as the cast and fans of the show prepare for the final season's premiere on November 26, they look back on the filming experience of Season 5.
The fourth season was a step up for the Hawkins kids in terms of the action and the violence in their fight against Vecna, especially since they were all separated and Eleven was not present in Hawkins.
Therefore, the fifth season and the final adventure are bound to be much more violent than the last adventure for the Hawkins gang in their fight against Vecna. In a recent conversation with Lifestyle Asia, the Stranger Things cast looks back on the physically demanding production for the final season.

The Stranger Things Season 5 production was an intense experience for the cast
The eight episodes for Stranger Things Season 5 have been described as "eight blockbuster movies" by the Duffer Brothers. So it's more than expected when the cast of the show refers to it as their "toughest" shoot to date. From extra-long filming hours to months of preparation for single scenes, the level of passion that has been put into the final season says everything about the cast and crew's commitment to it.
Charlie Heaton, who plays Jonathan Byers on the show, revealed that the shoot hours for the final season spanned more than 12 hours, and it was a relentless and extremely physical experience to be a part of:
"It’s a beast y’know. You’re filming 14 to 16 hour days, it’s relentless, it’s physical, your up at 5AM and you must look awake. It’s a marathon that we all went on together."
Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on the show, discussed a particular nighttime action sequence that had him hitting the gym hard and investing night and day to prepare. He went on to joke that as soon as the action sequences were filmed, he just stopped working out:
"I knew it would be a year shoot and so I exercised for the first six months of filming and I knew there would be a bigger action sequence at night that I would be a part of. So I prepared my stamina for a lot of long nights. After the action scenes were filmed I immediately stopped working out, which is probably not a good idea."
Caleb MacLaughlin, who plays Lucas, added:
"For me, fighting Jason in Season 4 and dealing with the emotions of Max at the same time was draining. Season 5 is my first time doing stunts at this level and it’s exhausting."

Millie Bobby Brown properly summed up the passion that drove the cast and the crew through the physically exhausting process of filming Stranger Things Season 5 in a conversation with Entertainment Weekly:
"The stamina is truly the fact that we all love and care about it. The crew, they are so invested in bringing it to life that I think that truly drives the stamina of it all. We all care 'cause we've been here for so long. So what gets me up in the morning is I'm doing this for my 10-year-old self because I care and I love the work."
It isn't long before the audience gets the chance to witness all the passion and effort put into Stranger Things Season 5 come to life.
Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1 premieres on November 26 with four episodes, and Part 2 on Christmas with three episodes, and the season finale on December 31.
