Euphoria Season 3 is finally going to be released in 2026, four years after Season 2 aired. Season 2 ended with Lexi's play being staged, Cassie interrupting it because it depicted all the drama and chaos of her life, Fez getting arrested after police stormed his place, and Ashtray being shot in the gunfire. While reports suggest that Euphoria Season 3 will have a time jump and feature the main characters of the show as adults, an official story is yet to be confirmed.
Surprisingly, Jacob Elordi, the actor who plays Nate Jacobs in the show and is returning for Euphoria Season 3, doesn't know about the upcoming season's plot either.
Jacob Elordi on Euphoria Season 3
Jacob Elordi played Nate Jacobs in the first two seasons of Euphoria. Nate was a high school student and football player. He had an on-and-off relationship with Maddie and later dated Cassie as well. However, he couldn't accept his own s*xuality and had severe anger issues. Nate was also abusive and toxic. The upcoming season will show whether Nate has improved as an adult or not.
Jacob Elordi has already shot his part of the upcoming season, but since not everyone shoots on the same schedule, he doesn't know the plot of the upcoming season. As he told Variety,
“Everybody shoots at different storylines,”
He continued,
“I don’t know what anyone else is doing. I had a really singular storyline. You don’t know what the other story lines are. It’s like FBI files. So it’s great because I’ll get to consume the show the same way that everybody else does as a fan, which I haven’t been able to do before. I’m really excited.”
While it is great that Elordi will be experiencing the show like the viewers, unfortunately, he cannot give us a hint about what the upcoming season is about. All he shared was his experience filming Euphoria Season 3. As he told Variety about the filming,
“It was incredible, man,”
He continued,
“It was incredibly liberating. I got to play something so sort of far out from what I’ve done before.”
This indicates that Nate will most likely have a transformation in the upcoming season and might be a better person than he was in high school. Speaking of the forthcoming season, Elordi said to Variety that Sam Levinson, the creator of the show, has,
“constructed something that’s incredibly clever and cinematic. I think people are really going to like it.”
It seems this is all Elordi can say about the show till now. However, HBO has released a long list of actors joining Euphoria Season 3, which indicates that a lot will be happening next season. As HBO shared on Instagram, the actors joining the cast of Euphoria Season 3 are Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell.
Other than Jacob Elordi, actors reprising their roles in the upcoming season are Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Melvin Bonez Estes, Daeg Faerch, Chloe Cherry, Paula Marshall, Zac Steiner, Alanna Ubach, Sophia Rose Wilson, Dominic Fike, Colman Domingo, and Kika King.
Euphoria Season 3 will be released in spring 2026. The first two seasons of the show are streaming on HBO Max.
