He and his friends begin selling the cocaine. However, soon, the owner of the drugs and the police find out about it and begin the difficulties for the group.
After a successful and globally hit Season 1, Turn of the Tide returns with Eduardo and his friends dealing with new challenges and villains. While talking to NiT, the creator of the series, Augusto Fraga, shared that he wanted Season 2 to be bigger, since the show was now an international hit. He wanted to surprise the viewers with his story and avoid any kind of repetition. His only 'goal' was that 'Season 2 had to be bigger.' He said:
"I think the audience will be very surprised. It has everything the first one had, but in a deeper way."

Turn of the Tide: Creator Fraga comments on raising the bar of the show for Season 2
After an action-packed Season 1 of Turn of the Tide, the series returned on Friday with Eduardo and his friends dealing with new villains. However, the essence of the show was still the friendship that these characters shared. Season 1 became an international hit when it premiered in 2023, which prompted the continuation of the series.
Fraga shared that there was no plan to create more seasons for the show; therefore, they had to work from scratch to develop the story, and now Season 3 is also on the way. Since the show was recognized globally, Fraga wanted to raise the level of his show. Be it production or narrative, everything had to be raised to the maximum level. One of his focuses was sound, and Fraga revealed how everything was reworked to make the viewers comfortable. In the NiT article, he stated:
"There was a great effort to adjust the entire work flow of the sound, from pickup to mixing. The meeting between music and dialogues has been rethought so that the viewer is comfortable listening to the characters and emotionally involved with the soundtrack."
He further added that since now Turn of the Tide was competing in the world market, they had to raise the bar on their show, which would be noticeable to the viewers from the beginning of Season 2. He said:
"All the evolution of production is noticeable in the first few minutes. We are competing with a world market and there could be no defects."
Therefore, Season 2 of Turn of the Tide has more challenges for the characters, more setbacks, and complications. Along with the narrative changes, the show also raised the bar in its technical aspects.
Turn of the Tide Season 2 stars José Condessa, Rodrigo Tomás, Helena Caldeira, Caio Blat, André Leitão, José Raposo, and Paolla Oliveira, among others.
