The two seasons of the series, with a massive budget, are nothing short of a masterpiece. The storyline is unique. The breathtaking visuals and the overall intrigue surrounding Cassian’s story in the series are truly worth investing in.

Hence, when actor Ewan McGregor watched the series, he was rightfully fascinated. He started watching the series with his son. However, he later decided to finish the series without him. This is because he got too engrossed to stop watching.

His versatility knows no bounds. Hence, to see him show interest in appearing in a potential Andor Season 3 definitely makes us fans eager with happiness.

After completing Season 2 of Andor, Ewan McGregor expressed his desire to appear in the third season of the series. At the Fan Expo Canada, he says,

“I was thinking, 'I think I'm in this timeline. I think I could be in Season 3.' I was super excited, and then I realized, 'Oh no.' So anyway, maybe if there was, I could have squeezed in there, if only. There's always a chance that maybe there's a story that's happening at the same time where it kind of crosses over. So there's always a chance if Disney is listening -hypothetically, hypothetically. Come on, Disney.”

It would be truly intriguing to see Ewan McGregor in Andor if the third season happens. To see Ewan’s Obi-Wan interact with Cassian would be a gem for the fans of the franchise. However, the chances of Andor Season 3 happening are slim to none.

The budget for the two seasons of the series was $650 million! If another season were to happen, the budget would undoubtedly be an issue. Initially, the series was supposed to be a five-season series.

However, the idea of creating five seasons was eliminated right when the development started. Along with the budget issue, another significant issue could create difficulty if the three more seasons happen.

The aging out of the actors became a crucial reason why the series was kept at only two seasons. So, Ewan McGregor’s appearance in the hypothetical third season might sound appealing, but in reality would be difficult to happen.
