Here's everything we know about the upcoming documentary.
One Direction bandmates Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik set to reunite after ten years, on a road trip for Netflix

It has been ten very long years since Zayn Malik decided to officially leave the One Direction band in the midst of their world tour, "On the Road Again." Fans of the world-famous band were heartbroken to learn of Malik's decision, and in only a few months, the group unofficially disbanded as well. For ten very long years, fans of the band have been hoping to see the group together again, but then the recent passing away of ex-band member Liam Payne shattered those hopes.
According to the latest reports, Zayn Malik is set to reunite with his former bandmate in an official capacity for the first time since he left One Direction in 2015. Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, who had a very public and very documented falling out after Zayn left the band, have reunited and are coming together for a road trip documentary for Netflix.

The documentary is set to be directed by Nicola Marsh, who is also responsible for Child Star, the Demi Lovato documentary, Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story, and Song Exploder. The docuseries is set to be produced by Campfire Studios.
While the docuseries hopes to attract the mammoth fanbase of One Direction, the rest of the two ex-band members, Harry Styles and Niall Horan, are not expected to make an appearance on the Netflix show. According to The Sun:
This will be an absolutely huge show for Netflix and is guaranteed to whip 1D’s global army of fans into a frenzy. And it’s likely to be a chance for some serious soul-searching and deep discussions about the incredible journey the group have already been on since they were formed on ‘The X Factor’ 15 years ago.
As per the latest updates, filming has already started for the docuseries, and it is expected to be released in 2026. For the last ten years, fans of the world-famous band have been hoping for a reunion of the five boys who were first paired together on the 2010 season of The X Factor. For years, these dreams have been unfulfilled and going to waste.

However, finally, at least half of the band are reconciling and in the best possible way, as they spend time on the trip and talk about the years they've spent as pop stars and the friend they've lost on the way.
