I Love LA is officially set for renewal. The first season aired on November 2, 2025, and was an immediate hit among prestige comedy fans. This show is a satire of the Gen Z influencer culture, so it is quite relatable for youngsters. Furthermore, it highlights other dynamics such as modern relationships, friendships, and the rat race of success.
In a recent Zoom interview with I Love LA star Odessa A’zion, Deadline revealed her stance on coming back for season 2. Her character as Tallulah was indeed her breakthrough role, and she has created quite a buzz among fans. But in the interview, she opened up about how people perceived it as her 'sudden rise' to stardom. She said that she has been in the industry for ten years now.
It’s really funny, because I’m seeing a lot of these things online of people being like, ‘Odessa A’zion just came out of nowhere and she’s an industry plant.’ And I’m like, ‘I’ve been acting for 10 years now.’ ~ Odessa A’zion to Deadline.
So all the glamor and success did not come overnight, I suppose. Now, let's see what she had to say about the show being renewed.
I Love La: Odessa A’zion talks about returning for Season 2

Deadline asked the I Love LA star:
"And what are you most excited about making Season 2 of I Love LA?"
Odessa A’zion responded that she was excited to go back with the cast even though the character has few similarities with her.
"I’m just excited to go back with all the cast. And the character’s very different for me. We talk different, we walk different. I feel like we look a little different. So that’s always really weird for me, but it’s really fun to do with the cast and to be able to shoot at home because I’m from LA, I live in LA. It’s the best. I’m super excited to go back."
So, A’zion is eagerly looking forward to going back to the cast and reclaiming her role as Tallulah. Her response even hinted that, besides the show, it is exciting to work closely from home, as she is originally from Los Angeles.
So, what's really the hype about the character?
I Love LA: What was it about and Odessa A’zion's as Tallulah

As the story goes, Rachel Sennott plays the character of Maia Simsbury. By the way, she is also the writer and creator of the show. So, the lead could portray the character exactly how it was written. She works as a talent manager for celebs and influencers in an LA agency.
This takes a different turn as her college best friend, Tallulah, walks in. But who is Tallulah?
Odessa A’zion's as Tallulah
Tallulah is a famous influencer, yes, but she is one of those who is losing relevance due to negative publicity, or the modern-day 'cancel culture'. Maia is hired to manage her career. Eventually, the audience could see the shifting equations and how they took the shape of codependence.
Now Maia's life has a lot of concurrent events, including managing Tallulah, navigating relationship issues with her boyfriend, achieving success, and dealing with a chaotic friend circle.
In I Love LA, A’zion plays Tallulah, a charismatic and chaotic online influencer who does more than just show up as comic relief. The character is often seen as vulnerable and complex. Odessa herself has mentioned how Tallulah is confident but also flawed. The balance makes the role both exciting and challenging.
Unlike some one-note characters, Tallulah has emotional stakes, giving A’zion more to explore on screen. That’s most likely why A’zion feels a connection to the role and why coming back means something more than repeating the same part.
