Why is Fallout not suitable for teens and children?

The TV-MA rating is undeniably a direct indication of the mature content that the series comes with. It is also a sign that parents must be aware of the content that they are exposing their children to before letting them watch this series. Fallout features a storyline of a world of post-apocalypse.

Humanity is left with no choice but to survive by hiding inside bunkers. It is more than just a simple survival story. The people who had to take refuge in the bunkers were unaware of the fact that they were test subjects of experiments.

These bunkers were used as experimental facilities by using the residents for various sociological and psychological experiments. The whole procedure is supervised by Vault-Tec. For years, this process has continued.

However, in the year 2296, Lucy, a vault dweller, decides to go out. Her motive to take on this dangerous task is to search for her father. Thus begins a complicated world of challenges that Lucy has to face to find his father. Now, the premise is definitely intriguing. There is a distinct touch of realism that this series comes with. Young teenagers often feel quite eager to watch the series. However, parents should make sure that they are not exposed to the contents of the series before they are adults.

Young viewers must be able to understand the distinction between right and wrong. Before they are exposed to the deeper elements that are present in the series, their understanding must be clear. Now, the main aspect that makes Fallout unsuitable for young viewers is the show's heavy focus on violence. Throughout this series, there are multiple moments where the characters go through dangerous situations.

These situations lead them to face intense violence. The violence also includes clear visuals of gore. These visuals are undoubtedly impactful. These visuals are equipped with the ability to leave a lasting impact on the viewers. Especially in a negative manner.

Besides the extreme violence that is present throughout the series, the constant use of crude language is also an identifying factor that makes this series unsuitable for teenagers. Along with it, there is the use of alcohol and drugs.

It cannot be denied that watching content that includes negative aspects like this would cause an impact. It might influence the viewers into replicating the actions that the characters do in Fallout. Nudity and mature visuals are also present throughout the episodes of the series.

The TV-MA rating of this series comes as a warning sign for parents. They should make sure that their children are only exposed to shows that would positively impact them. Watching shows that contain mature themes as Fallout, creates the possibility for children to be impacted in a negative manner.
