Fallout Season 2 is finally almost here, and fans are all ready to go back to Graham Wagner's post-apocalyptic drama. The new season will kick off with the wasteland bigger, messier, and way more dangerous, as Prime Video dives back into a world shaped by greed, survival instincts, and very bad decisions that refuse to stay buried.

There have been last-minute changes with the premiere dates and timings, so in case you missed it, here's everything you need to know about Fallout Season 2 episode 1, hours before its release, and what you can expect from the hit show's sophomore season.

Fallout Season 2 Episode 1 release date and timing

As Prime Video announced yesterday, Fallout Season 2 will be premiering on December 16, 2025, at 9 pm EST. The previous date for release was December 17, and according to the streamer, the preponement was in reaction to fan demand.

During the announcement, Prime Video stated,

With fan demand for the launch of Fallout Season Two from Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films echoing loudly across the Wasteland, Prime Video today announced that the premiere episode will debut one day earlier on Tuesday, December 16, at 6:00 p.m. PT.

New episodes will drop every Wednesday at 12 am PT.

Streaming details of Fallout Season 2

The show will be available to stream on Prime Video exclusively. Subscription plans for Prime Video are a part of the Amazon Prime subscription, which includes shopping, music, and Prime Video privileges, among others.

Plans for Prime are priced at $14.99 monthly or $139 annually.

What is Fallout Season 2 about?

Fallout Season 2 will follow Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus as they journey into the irradiated Mojave Desert and the legendary city of New Vegas after Season 1’s explosive finale. There is already much excitement for the season, as it has made its debut on Rotten Tomatoes with a perfect score of 100%.

As per Prime Video, the synopsis for this season reads:

The new season of Fallout will pick up in the aftermath of Season One’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas. Season Two will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Based on one of the greatest video game series of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have.
