When will Fallout Season 2 Episode 3 release?

Episodes of Fallout drop every Wednesday at 3 a.m. ET, and 12:00 a.m. PT. The third episode of Fallout Season 2 will be out on December 31, 2025 on Prime Video. The release schedule was altered after Amazon announced that the show would be premiering earlier than it was scheduled keeping in mind fans' demand.

Plans for Prime Video are included with the Amazon Prime subscription, which is priced at $14.99 per month or $139 annually.

What is Fallout about?

Set in the long shadow of the Great War of 2077, Fallout explores a world shattered by a nuclear exchange between the United States and China. In this alternate version of Earth, post World War II faith in nuclear power created a retrofuturistic society that eventually collapsed under the weight of resource wars. While some survived by retreating into underground Vaults, they later learned those shelters were secret Vault-Tec experiments.

More than two centuries later, in 2296, Lucy leaves Vault 33 to search for her kidnapped father in the ruins of Los Angeles. Her journey brings her together with Brotherhood of Steel squire Maximus and the infamous ghoul Cooper Howard. Season 2 expands the fallout, sending Lucy toward New Vegas as Maximus prepares for war.

The second episode showed the origins of Shady Sands, and how it's destruction shaped Maximus and his allegiance to Brotherhood and the later violence that came inside him. On the other hand, Lucy and the Ghoul try and rescue a woman in a ruined hospital, her empathy costing her life as she finds herself in Caesar’s Legion.

Meanwhile, Vault-Tec’s ghosts refuse to stay buried as Norm manipulates his way out of Vault 31 with a group of thawed executives, while Hank resumes experiments that turn control into carnage. By the end, every storyline points in the same direction of how power always asks for more, etting up the premise of the third episode.
