Fallout has just dropped a wholesome video featuring Walton Goggins, which showcases his transformation into Cooper Howard a.k.a. The Ghoul in the Prime Video series.

While the video traces the process, the actor makes some candid, hilarious commentary whilst he is literally 'wearing' the skin of the ghoul. In the beginning, Goggins utters with a chuckle:

"Truth is, this is really expensive sh*t, and I just use it, just for a daily moisturiser."

Fallout star Walton Goggins takes us on a humor-filled journey of his prosthetic look for The Ghoul

In the video, we see a two-hour prosthetic procedure condensed into a one-minute and seventeen-second time-lapse video. To make matters more engaging, Walton Goggins drops some comedic lines as he candidly shares how he feels at each step of the gruelling process.

For Goggins' look as the Ghoul in Fallout, the distinguished make-up artist Jake Garber brings out the authentic look of the character with absolute finesse and intricacy.

After attaching the bald cap to Walton Goggins' head, a piece of the prosthetic is stuck over it. This is how the actor explains this step:

"Applying the second piece after putting the bald cap on. This is the cranium. This protects all the thoughts and beautiful things that are going on inside my head."

As Jake Garber does the make-up, Goggins continues with his hilarious commentary as he says:

"Jake takes as much time as he possibly can before putting on the piece that irritates the f*** out of me."

Hearing this, Jake Garber breaks into laughter.

Further into the video, the Django Unchained star adds a chucklesome line, as some random thoughts run in his mind:

"If The Ghoul wore sunglasses, they would have to be specially made because the nose is gone. I found some called Walton Goggins Goggle Glasses."

After that, Goggins, almost halfway into his Ghoul avatar in Fallout, dons a pair of dapper goggles.

At the end of the video, Walton Goggins shares a rib-tickling anecdote about how he feels when the time to remove the prosthetics finally comes. He says:

"When they say, you know, that's a wrap, I reach up, and I pull off chunks of my neck. And I just look at the crew and say, 'Who wants some prosciutto?'"

Then the clip ends with the actor tossing off a piece of the 'prosciutto' like layers towards the camera, after finishing his shot.

This post-apocalyptic series by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet is derived from the famous video game. It explores the aftermath of a nuclear apocalypse that takes place. A woman named Lucy from Vault 33 is now in search of her father, who has been kidnapped.

Its synopsis, as per Prime Video, goes as follows:

Based on one of the greatest video games of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them above.

In the process, she meets Goggins' character, Cooper Howard, a.k.a. The Ghoul. He is a survivor of the nuclear apocalypse and has transformed from an actor in Hollywood into a ghoul.

The first episode of the second season of the series is releasing on December 17, 2025.
